Forums - Gaming Discussion - Is nobody going to talk about the fact that Atari re-entered the console market?

No, this is not a joke.

Ouya 2.0 ?

It's probably more powerfull than that, but I suspect its most likely a tablet like chip in there (console looks small).

At best I think your going to see a console abit more powerfull than the Switch.

So dont get your hopes up for a "real" 4th competitior in the market space.

I'll talk about it once they talk about it. We know basically nothing and all I'm seeing is a new Ouya.

What is there to talk about? No info of games, hardware, or anything that matters.

Apart from the pictures we know nothing about it. We will surly talk about it once we see specs and games on it.

Digital only? No buy then.

They say it has modern hardware inside, and can play "classic games".

So it ll be a semi decent tablet chip or such.

So mobile/tablet games, and some old Atari ones via emulation.

Info about the hardware? we know it has 4 usb ports right? and it can take microSD cards.

My first thoughts are this is going to be sub 199$, and weaker than a Switch is.

And who knows what kinda games it ll get support for so... yeah this is a "iffy" buy, but maybe theres enough Atari fans out there to keep it alive.

No, I don't even know what Atari is other than some console brand that existed in the pre-Nintendo era.

To be quite honest I didn't even know they still existed until recently.

Nodoby cares about Atari anymore.

Do they even have their own studios to make current gen, first party games?

Are they going to be entirely reliant on 3rd party Android games and the like?

*edit: I looked at their Wiki page, and it looks like they ve done some occasional games for like nes,snes,n64 ect.... latest I could find was like early 2000's.

It isn't going to be a real console, you are going to be disappointed.
