It will go on to sell 2 copies because it is the worst game ever

I don't know how he could start off a thread with "all jokes aside" and not expect the thread to be filled by posts like this.

Alittle bit better than the first game. Id say 500k more than Knack 1

750k-1m+ including digital. The first is probably one 2m sales including digital and many more downloads thanks to ps plus in Asia.

It's $40 will help it. But the first released when there wasn't many games on ps4. So that no douhtw was an advantage. Because now Knack 2 will have competition from a shit ton of games that could limit it's sales.

Either way I think it will be very cheap to make and Sony will profit.

When it comes to Knack, I can't tell whena comment related to it is a joke or not, haha.

I'd say around a mil or so? Does that total number include the bundled version in the Japanese version? Weren't all 1st launches of Japanese PS4s bundled with it?

Eh, I can't imagine it selling well. Surprised they even made a sequel.

First one got a boost from being a launch game. Second one won't get that boost. So guessing 500k.

I enjoyed the first one btw.

That's a good point, when there's less competition on the console it's easier to sell more copies... however Knack 2 does have the advantage of launching at a cheaper price, although that doesn't guarantee better launch sales, but it could potentially help achieve higher sales.

I do think it'll sell higher than 500k though if we're talking lifetime... maybe Sony will decide to bundle it over the holidays lol :P

Edited right after I posted to 750k. I'd like to see it sell more. Not because I'm a huge knack fan but because I enjoy the genre and it doesn't get as many releases as it should.

The original knack had the benefit of being a launch title. While it certainly won't be a mega flop, I do not anticipate it going above 2m without the help of bundles.

If Nintendo were to make a 3-4 switch or something along those lines, I'd probably predict the same. Jokes aside, I wonder if the people at Sony actually believe this will somehow raise the Knack franchise into something big. Even with more recognition, more potential customers, and a price cut, I cannot see Knack 2 being anything more than an average game with average sales.

That good enough for you :p

Yeah it's rather hard to differentiate these days lol. And I don't know about the Japanese bundle, didn't know it was bundled with the PS4 there to be honest, but if so that might be the reason for its current sales? And maybe Sony should bundle the sequel to pump those numbers up lol :P

Apparently there were limited bundles with the game, and I do recall having seen this bundle before. Sales were around 300,000, so that was a nice lil boost as well. I have some doubt that Knack 2 will be bundled, but it would be a nice boost if it is.

I believe it's going to sell really well. The first game is loved by many and part 2 seems to improve heavily on the game. Plus there isn't much competition and it's a great family game. 1-2 million easily.

I actually enjoyed Knack for what it was.  Love the character.  I've pre-ordered Knack 2 already just last week.  I think it will sell 1.5-2.0 million copies if it can get a  75+ on it's reviews.

Cheers,
