Good episode, the intrigue kept escalating and of course the send off battle was brutal.

Solid episode overall. It's cool to see things being crystallized and everything finally sort of coming together and falling into place. Interesting to see the 2 (sort of 3) major factions forming - Cersei, Tarlys, and Euron's Ironborne mainly, vs Dany, Tyrion, Dornish, eastern armies, and Yara/Theion's Ironborne, vs the North consisting of Jon, Sansa, Sir Davos, and Little Finger (though it looks as though they'll form up with Dany and crew).

Badass Viking style ship battle at the end sealed the deal for me. Only scenes I could have done without that come to mind were the gross greyscale scene w/Jorah and the cheesy, bland Grey Worm/Missandei scene - at least until she removed that robe, hot damn..

Also, is it weird that I was actually rooting for Euron and co. over Yara/Theion and those annoying Sand Snakes, considering otherwise I'm full on team Dany? Euron might be a relentless killer, but Yara is somewhat too is she not? She did, for instance, attack and take over Winterfell w/ Theion, and backed Balon until he died and she met up with Dany. It's just that Euron and her fight at cross purposes. I dunno, maybe it's just the cool Rangor Lothbrook vibe I'm getting from Euron lately, but to me he's about the only one on the Cersei side that is semi-cool to me and wouldn't mind seeing kicking some ass haha, but if he's supposed to be the new hated villain, well I certainly don't despise him the way I did Joffrey or Ramsy. It's my love of Vikings/pirates coming out I s'pose.

Yet another good episode as usual

That episode was amazing.

I'm a little confused.
Pretty sure one of the sand sisters died. Did the other one die as well? Were they hanged at the boat?

Both of the Sisters who fought Euron died they showed the bodies, the hot one got captured with her mom.

Hope HBO don't F us over and have Jon meeting Dani as a cliffhanger for the next one I want to see an actual conversation between them but I fear that it won't be as good as I want it to be. Also It's so weird that Bran has yet to send a Raven to Winterfell, and it's cool to see that taking the Iron Throne isn't going to be as easy as it seemed it would be. 9/10 mostly due to the ending battle.

Am I the only one who doesn't give a fuck about Sam?
If he gets grayscale next episode I'd be completely fine.

Oh another major thing I didn't mention - The freakin Jon and Dany meeting is finally gonna happen! I'm a little too excited for this.. Though I have to say, even though Dany's still probably a top 5 favorite character for me, she's looking more and more ruthless and a tad "Mad King" esque these days, kind of making her lose me a bit. Maybe Jon will soften her up a bit again..

I also was bummed to see she wants Jon to "bend the knee." I don't want to see Jon yield power to anyone, even Dany! Hopefully word from Bran will get to them soon that Jon is in fact a Targaryen himself so that power dynamic will shift as he'll have a legitimate claim on the throne or at least give him more leverage.

In my perfect world - Dany defeats Cersei and takes the 6 kingdoms while Jon remains king in the North, independent of the crown (having the blood of the first men and being similar to Wildlings, being subservient is simply not in their nature, which is why I feel like they're destined to remain an independent kingdom). Maybe as a fun little bonus - have Gendry come back and rule the Stormlands to carry on the Baratheon legacy.. Though these outcomes might just be a little too perfect, and as we all know, things in GoT don't always go that well to say the least.

I liked 701 well enough, but 702's direction was terrible. 90% was stiff and awkward while the remaining 10% felt like it was out of a different show. The forced fanservice was cringeworthy while other moments were laughable. Cast and cosmetics aside, the episode was practically unrecognizable for me. I see the same guy is directing the next episode too, but hopefully the other directors can turn the season back around after.

Someone needs to gif Sam with the scalpel, though; that was ridiculous.

Things just got more complicated. :)
