Forums - Nintendo Discussion - DF: More Wii U Ports Heading To Switch! Is This A Good Thing?

I really don't see how ports are a bad thing. You got to be a special type of loser to be upset about a console getting ports from older consoles. Simple solution for those who don't want them is to not buy them. But arguing more options and games is somehow bad because some owners of the previous console might feel slighted? Meh get over yourselves and your sense of entitlement.

Generally fine with it. We're not hurting for new AAA releases on the Switch IMO.

I giggled.

Talking of ports, I am pretty sure some people would rebuy GTA V just to play it on the go.

You win the thread.

Because you try to find reason that doesn't exist, you aiming that something was wrong so that's why Nintendo is doing some Wii U ports of on Switch, while you completely ignoring fact that today ports and remaster are common thing today. Why Sony done so many PS3 ports on PS4!? Obviously, easy money and more diverse and stronger lineup.  And Nintendo is releasing just two Wii U ports on Switch this year, its not like we have them 5+.

No, I'm open to possible reasons behind the ports. I'll go with your question. Why has sony done so many ports? To make more money and possibly for other reasons such as filling in holes in the release schedule. Hopefully the practice doesn't pull resources from other new games. You take this shit a little too seriously.

Personally, I'd rather these fuckers (yes, sony is included in that) just produce new IPs and release new additions to the established series. Ports are good for the companies but that doesn't put a new IP in my hands.

*shrugs

Ports don't take too long to make. If it means people get to enjoy the game and they have more money for new content, then that's alright with me

The first Zelda game on the 3DS was Ocarina of Time 3D. Honestly didn't bother me as Link Between Worlds was an amazing game.

Ports are a win-win situation. You can play it if you never played it or want to replay it, or you can skip it. There's literally zero losers.

It's really not that radical once you realize it's been done in the past. Multiple GameCube games were ported over to the Wii and re-branded New Play Control!! The Wii could already play the original versions of those games, thanks to backwards compatibility.

I think the Switch audience should get all the WiiU games, because there are some real gems.
