There's only so much oxygen in the room at once. For core gamers, the energy is still on PS4 exclusives and PC. For everyone else, Switch has captured a huge mindshare.

I haven't had a compelling reason to look at Xbox One recently since the S launched. Not to whine too much, but cancelling Scalebound was a huge turnoff for me. I don't want to look forward to games that just get cancelled.

I feel like a lot of people feel the same way.

I agree, losing Scalebound lost the remain of my interest concerning XB1 as a gaming system.

I sincerely doubt the poor sales have anything to do with people waiting on X. Xbox's exclusive lineup in 2017 so far has been incredibly lackluster. Add in the fact that PS4 is cheaper, has gotten some heavy hitting exclusives, and the successful launch of the Switch, and you have a recipe for disaster for Xbone. Xbox just isn't competitive right now, and it's not looking like that's going to change much with the X.

I think Sony hit the nail on the head; for devoted console users, the ideal combo is PS4 + Switch. Both are selling very well, and in some ways even complimenting each other. There's just no need to own a XB1 right now.

I'd imagine he means Microsoft and Nintendo, and he's right. Neither can compete with Sony in terms of providing a better library for their console.

We haven't even seen the end of the gen yet, so I wouldn't even call the libraries junk until they stop providing for those systems.

It's not like these companies can just pull a bunch of great titles out of their ass at the drop of the hat, We know what they have in the making. 

PS4's gaming library is so far ahead there's just no chance of other catching up, and that's ignoring the fact that the difference is set to grow larger over the next two years.

It's gong through what is possibly the worst games line up in xbox history. SOftware sells hardware. I'm not surprise it's so low.
