Killer Instinct is quite successful considering it has 3 seasons and possibly more. Plus its got a good Esports following. So not sure where you get your conclusion that SFV wouldn't be a success on X1 consideing its barely a success on the PS4. I personally think Capcon are kicking themselves with SFV exclusivity and is a good example that permanent exclusives are not good for the industry.

Well 66% to 33% would be normal just from twice as many sold PS4s. Considering that PS4 also got the marketing and that most fans of Japanese games are obviously on PS4, the numbers should really not surprise anyone.

SFV would have sold about 200k vs PS4's 1m+ by now. Tekken 7 just shows you how dominant the ratios for traditional titles like this are. They lost very few sales skipping xb1.

Not sure if this is any big accomplishment. As a Tekken player I have always played the series on the PS system. Main reason is that if you play MP, you will have the bigger player base on the PS system. Also any serious professional players will be purchasing the game on the PS. I do hear from the Pro crowd that the new preference is the PC because of lag on line with the PS4 and also latency. Last but not least the install base between PC, X1 and PS4 favors greatly in the PS4 space.

When ioi was putting his full effort in VGC (you know, getting data from hundreds of retailers), it was quoted quite often. I remember the meltdowns when Square Enix was using VGC information in the annual statements last generation.
