Forums - Movies & TV - Christopher Nolan Wants To Make A 007 Movie

If he does, I'm sure it'll be 3 hours long, being aesthetically dark to the point of needing some lighting, being stylistically dark to the point of needing a laugh track, use tons of shaky cam for every single action scene, and feature a convoluted plot that is purposefully hard to follow. It'll be great.

Would love to watch that. After how bad Spectre was, it would take something like this for me to go theatre to watch a Bond film.

Looking forward to Dunkirk. My most anticipated summer movie.

NO! NO! NO!

Please not his overly serious convoluted pretentious ass. Just make 007 fun again. Sick of the gritty crap.

This is what I've been saying about Superman since forever.

would be a good way to destroy the franchise, if anything bond has gone too far down the path of seriousness and darkness and needs a little more humour and fun injected back into it.

Loved his batman trilogy, interstellar, inception, and ready to Dunkirk next weekend. I would like to see his take on a bond movie. This last few movies have actually been kind of boring to me. I preferred the pierce Brosnan 007 movies.

He did an oustanding job with Batman in Dark Knight though

Batman Begins and TDNR were pretty terrible tbh

No where near terrible, they're better than 90 percent of marvel films and I like most the MCU

Preston Scott

I really miss the old bond films:

1) amazing memorable villains
2) gadgets
3) cars that do amazing things due to gadgets
4) crazy villain bases like the one in Octopussy

Most had a combination of these if not all the above. We seem to only get one or the other these days.

Not sure about that. MCU still feels like a comic universe whilst the DCU feels like an identity crisis. Nolan's vision of a realistic Batman started well, but then changed so many things it ruined the potential of future films in the DCU. It also created illogical stupid plot points for the sake of realism.

1) when batman switches lights off in the batmobile, no one can see him anymore.

2) batman fully recovers from a broken back in record time by doing exercises in probably one of the most dangerous and unhygienic prisons on the planet.

3) the actual lazarus pit was a major plot point in the comic's that later creates the redhood.

4) instead of having a kid with Talia Al Ghul who would become a future Robin, they get him together with Cat Woman and he has no kids.

5) super detective can't even figure out who Superman is and who Martha is. So much for research.

6) some how we are led to believe that Bruce and Albert built the batcave on their own. No one questioned the materials being shipped in to build a fortress. No one was hired and or a large work force can keep a secret.

If Nolan was to make a Bond film, as mentioned by someone earlier, he would probably turn Bond into Bourne even more so than now. Kill of any charm that makes Bond, Bond and finally, create a shitty unmemorable score like he did with Batman.

Ffs, why did they wreck a perfect score in batman and Superman by replacing them with what could be considered just noise?!

Froggy voice makes them laughable. Third film was awful.

oh it will be glorious.. Nolan is one of the few director who understands the importance of music to build up a drama. loved the way he handled parallel stories in one scene in TDK. (jokers escape and rachel's death). based on Following, Inception and TDK I believe he will do a brilliant job.

but I doubt studios will hire him.. coz Nolan film has an identity of its own.. and bond has its own, At best he will sign on a three movie deal and all three will be made with his own style.. and i dont think studio's would want the tone of the bond film to completely differ from what they have been.. example Nolan batman verse is no way a representation of the comics.. so some would have to bend.
