Forums - Movies & TV - Christopher Nolan Wants To Make A 007 Movie

Christopher Nolan, who directed The Dark Knight Trilogy, interstellar and Inception, has said he would like to make a James Bond movie someday.

Speaking to Playboy (via Variety), Nolan said he would "definitely" like to take on the gig when the time is right. He added that he's even spoken to producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson about it "over the years," but it hasn't worked out as of yet.

"I deeply love the character, and I'm always excited to see what they do with it," Nolan said. "Maybe one day that would work out. You'd have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need reinvention; it has to need you. And they're getting along very well."

This is not the first time Nolan's name has come up in discussions about directing a Bond movie. Tom Hardy, who has starred in some of Nolan's films, said he would like to see Nolan direct a 007 movie someday.

Nolan's next movie, the War film Dunkirk, opens on July 21.

That sounds like a good idea

NO! NO! NO!

Please not his overly serious convoluted pretentious ass. Just make 007 fun again. Sick of the gritty crap.

Good God Yes! Any movie he touches turns into gold!

I hope not.

I've never seen a Bond film and personally I wish I would, but I don't want to see another fanbase lose out on a franchise that they wanted a particular way just so we could get a dark version of a franchise.

Sounds good to me

Nah, his Dark Knight Trilogy was good, but people definitely overpraised it. If this is something people seriously want to discuss we can.

I'd be in favour, but I am not a fan of Nolan's license films. They're not bad though, and they're popular.
Memento is one of my favourite films ever, and I really liked Interstellar too.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

He did an oustanding job with Batman in Dark Knight though

Hated his take on Batman and I literally could not stop laughing every single time Batman spoke.

Mask of the Phantasm remains the best Batman film ever.
