Castlevania animated series producer wants to work on an adaptation of Metroid

Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Castlevania animated series producer wants to work on an adaptation of Metroid

Producer Adi Shankar just wrapped up the first season on Netflix’s Castlevania animated series, and he’s setting his sights on Assassin’s Creed next. Shankar also has interest in Nintendo franchises, as it turns out.

When asked about other game series he’d like to adapt while speaking with Nintendo Life, Shankar turned to Metroid. “Dark Metroid in the same anime style,” he responded.

With Nintendo more open to video content these days, perhaps the idea of Shankar working on Metroid isn’t entirely far-fetched. At the very least, he’d likely treat the IP well given the strong reception to Castlevania thus far.

I'm happy with the Castlevania show on netflix so far so I would be open to this idea.

Please no.

Well, this is new.

Read.

"In the same anime style "

Castlevania "anime style" is weird. It was not made in Japan ? Cause its always weird when American studios try to capture anime style.

The only metroid I want to see is the 3ds game in September and metroid prime 4. No animation for me. Especially something dark.

Avatar wasn't weird

I may be paranoid, but not an android

Metroid Anime would be cool I'd like to see it but since its Metroid it probably won't do well nor will the fans like it.

If Ridley Scott made a Metroid movie that'd be cool

I'd be interested in watching it, to pick Metroid out of all franchises it probably means that he got into the games while playing Castlevania as a reference for his latest anime, meaning that he'd have a decent understanding of the Metroid universe...

Looking at the last 2 Alien movies I wouldn't be that sure, he would get the atmosphere right for sure but he needs to pick a good screenplay for a change.
