EDIT: On topic, I've decided to go for Basch double sword tank, Fran Katanas (dps) and Balthier guns support. The idea of the licence grids really does add a new aspect to the game. So far at the start there is no difference as the lack of options because you are low levels but once I get going I'm sure things will 'pan out' more.

So are people enjoying it?... anyone noticed how they made it easier? I mean mist abilities no longer being tied to mp, maps everywhere? what gives? It wasn't hard to begin with.

Infact the Mist charge thing makes a mockery of boss fights.

I knew I'd like it coming back in, but I didn't realise I'd revert back to 18 years old staying up till 3 in the morning liking it. Insane.

Just finished up with Fran's home and now I'm in the snow. So much fun.

Did they change how loot works for treasure chest? Like can I open every chest, and not worry about missing the Zodiac Spear?

If things are correct (the same), then there are only 2 chests you shouldn't open. The first being one right outside Old Dalan's place. The 'other' is the 4 by 4 grid by the beach. Don't touch a single one.

Once you beat the Bomb, you can run ('escape') in the ruins to get it.

According to the differences, there are like 1000 new chests in the game. This said, I've got some good loot from these things, including magicks, which is weird as I don't ever remember getting magicks from chests before.

I looked it up and it's different, you can get them by club hunts. what a relief because I've been opening every chest I've come across on.
