Now I'm sure lots of people in North America's interior have noticed that this summer is a very hot one, and after the cool but not that awful (but still awful for me) winter, it was nice to have... till now. Now I can handle the heat for the most part, but eventually, I have a tendancy to lose so much sleep, it isn't even funny. I went to bed around midnight last night, and I woke at 4:30 am, like what the hell? I usually need 7-8 hours, and just because the weather changes, doesn't mean my sleeping habits should. So now I am dead exhausted, but can't sleep.

Now I'm sure I'll hear the people who say "turn on your goddamn AC you whining idiot", but I can't because of some problems I have with AC and its reaction with my body, so that sucks. Well, out of the next 8 days, we're going to have highs above 30 degrees for 5, and rain wont come till Monday. Now Calgary is known to relatively warm to hot summers, and then freezing winters, but even this is far above the norm. I'm not known to complain about heat, but it has been excessive. I've noticed that lots of cities in the American and Canadian interior have also been facing lots of heatwaves too, so what are your thoughts on the heatwave, and what do you do to handle them?

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I don't like the heat, especially since I have to work outside in it. But I've always preferred Winter myself.

Currently it's not too hot here anymore, but there were heatwaves last month. I hate them, anything above 30°C is too hot for me.

I love the heat, have no trouble sleeping in it. My wife can't stand it though so when it gets near 25c in the house the AC goes on. I'll go out cycling 60 to 120km when it's 35c out.

We have a pool though, so cooling down is easy. And when I'm cycling I usually go to a lake to cool down at the halfway point, and bring lots of water. Yesterday was pretty hot, went for a swim in Woodstock in the Thames river. A couple of days ago I went to lake Ontario which is still freezing, 65F at most. Today is cold, only 23c :p

I live in Arizona and I ride a bike to work. It's killing me.

30'C is just a nice sunny day.

Talk to me when you hit 50'C which happens at-least once or twice a summer here, those temps can literally kill you.

I am enjoying my winter right now anyway.

Is that even safe to do?

The air here is so dry that the sweat instantly evaporates keeping you cool. I just remember to drink water once I get to work. 110 in this humidity is better than 90 degrees at 85% humidity.

I see. Here it's not dry at all, it's very humid, and I hate it.
