No update anymore?

Anyway if they really want that blu ray does good they should pay/convince some studios to bring their movies only on Blu Ray or maybe time exclusive =p.  (Something I said a few more times on VGCHARTZ)..

Otherwise people will not get an blu ray player/movies (the majority)

Just Blu-ray because it is considered a bonus feature for the Blu-ray feature.   Its no different than the digital copies as well

Best Buy to Reduce Amount of DVDs for Sale

Posted: October 6th, 2010 byWorstPreviews.com Staff

The DVD was introduced only about a decade ago and evidencenowshows that the movie industry is already killing the format to make room for the high-definition version known as Blu-ray.

Best Buy, the largest electronics retailer in the US, plans to greatly reduce the amount of floor space it devotes to DVDs this holiday season, using that space instead fornetbooksand tablet PCs. And if you visit the retail store today, you'll find that it has already scaled back its DVD selection.

Blu-ray players are now between $50 and $100 and Blu-ray discs are now falling below $20. This doesn't mean that DVDs are about to completely disappear, but the format is now in the process of being phased out.

The last two updates make for some dismal reading.

I guess this is historically a quiet time of the year, but still.

Blu Ray really does have to break out this year. This holiday season has to see it really push some numbers and get more recognition from the public.

The figures as they stand for a format thats 4 years old are just not acceptable.

I hate to say it but the nay sayers who called Blu Ray a "niche" product at launch are looking more and more accurate as time goes by.
