Forums - Gaming Discussion - Crash bandicoot outsells horizon launch week in a couple days UK

On neogaf someone said over 166k.
Not sure if thats right but thats alot in the UK for a opening week.

f.eks:
[Week 47, 2009] NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. WII (NINTENDO) - 79,000 / NEW
[Week 23, 2010] SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2 (NINTENDO) - 77,000 / NEW
[Week 46, 2009] SUPER MARIO GALAXY (NINTENDO) - No Data less than 100k

To people downplaying this, this is bigger than most Mario Game launches are in the UK.

1. Well first comparing to Nintendo games is always pointless imo. So many games pull like insane 3+ million week one or something. Nintendo games never seem to even break a million first week. They are never a day 1 bomb, and are just insane legs.

2. Don't Nintendo games release on like Fridays, meaning they only get like 1-2 days of sales versus all other games that release on tuesdays and thus have 5-6 days of sales?

It sold out everywhere here in Vienna i don't believe it ! it's all my fault i underestimated the popularity of that little furry fucking bandicoot and didn't wake up early.. now i have to wait till next week -.-

But remasters are cash cabs, linear games suck, nostalgia is overrated, old games have horrible controls.
I guess we're back to modern games suck, old style gameplay is the best.

PS4 pro, XBox One X, vs SNES mini, PS1 remakes. The generational wars have begun!

My question is: Does this game selling well prove the Sony guy right or wrong? Do people want BC, or do old games just suck.

Or the question is, do people just want BC or do people actually want HD remakes/remasters.
I haven't seen any BC release on XBox One set the charts on fire...
Has any VC release managed to top the charts?

Hype, marketing, herd mentality, all factors that lead to success.

I preorder for the first time on psn for the avatars and themes. Fuck it, buying me a physical copy. Hate digital.

So happy to hear it's doing well, we still need data from other regions however I'm confident this won't be the last we see of crash.

Good for it. I plan on picking it sometime in August :)

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

Oh wow that's really impressive. Congrats to the Souls of platformers

Pls Sony, green-light more platformers. I'd love Sly 5 and a second Ratchet game on ps4.
