I play FE:Heroes from time to time. This game really has nice balance that you can really play it without constantly throwing some cash in it. Which is very uncommon for F2P mobile games.

Yeah I still occasionally play FE Heroes as well. Mario & Miitomo are just meh, they became boring pretty quickly after starting them. FE Heroes may not be a replacement for a typical entry in the series, but it does provide some quick amusement when messing around on your phone, so I keep going back to it.
