Oh!! If there's something of which i'am 99% sure, is that ARMS will never get a sequel. even its manga was cancelled lately despite everything was ready to be published. We can say that Nintendo are mad at the low popularity of this franchise ( somewhere in the 2Millions for a new IP is nothing to be mad at honestly).

It will soon be 4 years since ARMS so the Mario Kart team's next game should come out this year. Monolith Soft is also due, as by the end of this year it'll be 4 years since Xenoblade 2.

The Odyssey team, the Mario Kart team, the Zelda team, Monolith Soft, Retro Studios ... they're all due for a game. Though Monolith is a bit more understandable and Zelda team is par for the course at this point.  

The Animal Crossing team is the real MVPs.

I'd add Mecury Steam (Samus Returns) into the lot as well. It's so obvious they're working on another 2D Metroid game.

I was just including their first party studios since it's not like all the accountability is on Nintendo in such a scenario. But a game like a 2D Metroid is sort of an exception seeing as how Nintendo would oversee the project.

In that case, Atlus and PlatinumGames are both overdue for a game as well .

Yeah if we don't get a bunch of major first party games this year something is seriously wrong, so many teams are due or overdue.

The Nintendo E3 Direct would be lit if we were to get these 2 games announced in the same show :o

God I hope they have an E3 Direct last year, I missed it so much last year, having to wait until September to see their second half lineup was just horrible and seriously depressing and stressful.

Mario Kart 9 in the next year or so doesn't seem unthinkable to me. Seems very thinkable in fact. It's been over 6 years since they've released even a new track. I can't think they're waiting another 3-4 years to release it with a new systems when it's a guaranteed mega seller on Switch right now.

I'd be more surprised if we got Metroid Prime 4 any time soon.

You know Atlus is coming this year with SMT V while Platinum is on the elusive Bayonetta 3 ... PRETTY NEAT.

Though I could certainly do with Atlus announcing the next Etrian Odyssey plz

Etrian Odyssey would be great! We basically know it's being worked on, just a matter of time till it's announced! I'm sorry I'm the one Etrian Odyssey fan who doesn't like the map feature and lowkey wants it taken out please don't hurt me I love the combat and aesthetic

Well you put it on the auto-mode for the map to fill up as you go.

As for me I do like making the map myself, it drives up the immersion immensely imo.

I have it on that mode already, but it doesn't draw the borders of the map, it just fills in the tiles, so you can't use teleporters and thus still have to go through entire floors just to get to the next area if you don't fill out the map. 

I don't know always felt like a waste of time.
