Yeah it doesn't have as often to me, but losing players doesnt happen in ranked. So hopefully you get level 10 soon or play with friends for a better experience. Also maybe the losing is on you xD , tips: wall don't count in Splatoon, playing single player mode helps a lot, you can super jump back to spawn to retreat from someone who is after you, if you use duelies you can roll right when you land with the super jump so you don't get immediately killed, you can use splashdown while in super jump, etc.

I've never gotten a team of 3 people before, but I have had the servers shut down today.

I even had a 4 vs 2 and the last time we were 3 people we won against 4. The guy who dropped out got 1000 points due to the win.

I need some pro advices for Splatoon 2. In your opinion, which are the best weapons in each competitive mode? And, which are the strategies to excel in them? At the moment I'm having an easy time with them, but I'm sure things will get harder XD.

Personally, blasters are the best for Tower Control. Any long range weapon works in Splat Zones, and any Aerospray works best on Turf Wars. This comes from Splatoon experience though, maybe some things changed.

Rainmaker is the most volatile one, since you'll be doing everything there (defend a player like in Tower Control, short and long range combat like Splat Zones, and cover a lot of turf to gain points for specials). I liked using Sloshers in the original because they did a lot of damage to the Rainmaker's shield, and had pretty good range and fire rate. Again, I don't know if that's changed in Spla2n, yet.

My advice is find your favorite weapon first, and try it in different modes, then look at what you would like to change and start experimenting with different weapons.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Damn, what's it even useful for if it doesn't OHKO? It was already arguably one of the worst subs in the first game.

I agree with blasters being the best in Tower Control, as for the other modes I think it's a bit harder to pick a particular good weapon type. In any case, I feel like it's hard to go wrong with any weapon, at least in Splatoon 1 I ended up sticking with the .96 Gal Deco as my main and always used it to good effect regardless of which mode was on (even Turf War)... granted that weapon might have been OP what with the splash walls and Kraken, but I still feel like most weapons will work anywhere. For example, the Splattershot itself isn't really bad in ranked, its range is fine and honestly I've had some good times with it in this game, I love the burst bombs and Splashdown and overall it just felt like a strong weapon.

I think the only weapons I really wouldn't recommend in ranked would be Splattershot Jr., Aerospray and Inkbrush... and maybe something else I might be forgetting. Those are just way too limited in range and killpower, so it's hard to do well with them, but other than that mostly any weapon is fine.

I think that in the end I took the most fun approach, which is, using almost every weapon when I feel like it XD. I agree with Splattershot and Aerospray not working fine in competitive modes, but I feel I can do decent numbers with almost every other weapon. Well, I don't get Sloshers yet tbh, but I'm working on them.

I made a thread for Splatoon Strategy talk in the Nintendo section of the forums. Yet you guys are posting here. :(

I've been playing Splatoon 2 for a while now, and I have to say, it controlls way better than I expected. Wepons-wise, I can't do anything with the sniper weapons or the dual wielding ones, but with the standard and the roller I'm somewhat competent. Looking forward to play with you, people.

Also, I'll probably be using the Discord voice chat to talk to people while playing, once I figure out how to make it work. I refuse to use the mess Nintendo did with their voicechat. They'll have to think of some easier method in the future.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

It pisses the fuck out of me that I have to get off the online lobby in order to change my weapon. C'mon Ninty, it's pretty standard these days. You even fixed it with Mario Kart XD

Okay I just found out that you have to wait after 10 days since you bought the game to find hours you played on your mini profile page.

Btw when is this Mayo vs Ketchup splatfest again? Is it this weekend or next weekend?

I know I'm super late to the party, but I finally beat Zelda BOTW.

Personally not my top game of this year so far, but calling it a masterpiece would be a huge understatement.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
