I definitely see where you're coming from, plus you're a natural pessimist , but Platinum seems pretty damn consistent and has very good output. I know Scalebound was cancelled but I feel like that was more Microsoft's fault than Platinum's.

Guilty as charged haha. I didn't used to be, I just kinda became that way over the last 6-7 years as a way of trying to protect myself from disappointment I guess. I have been making a conscious effort this year to be more optimistic.

I understand and honestly I always expect 1-2 games to get delayed to the following year every year. 2017 was a surprise because I really thought Xenoblade 2 was going to be delayed to 2018.

Like Fire Emblem+Animal Crossing+Luigi's Mansion+Pokemon Gen 8+Link's Awakening from July-December is almost too good to be true so I would not be surprised at all to see Animal Crossing & Luigi's Mansion become H1 2020 titles and replaced by a mid-tier title announced at E3 for a Q4 release.

That's similar to what happened last year, Yoshi & Fire Emblem were delayed out of 2018 and Mario Party was announced at E3 and released in Oct.

The combat of Bayonetta 2 feels more fluid and controls much more precise. Anyway, I love the two games although I have a certain preference for Bayonetta 2.

The second is more fluid and precise but it lacks certain intricacies due to certain changes in the system for example they removed stun from bullet artes and otg mechanics, you also can't launch any enemy that is higher than mid tier with out witch time which restricts certain applications in combat the are a number of issues but then the are a number of fixes the second brought as not only is it more fluid and responsive but it got rid of the horrid qtes, the second game's approach also added more emphasis on set ups in playing the mechanics making accessories more impactful and far better levels, bosses and structure.

What happens is generally B1 becomes a lot more rewarding in exploring its combat but B2 is much better to play through as a game and the series has this rift.

Yeah, I hated the deaths by QTE of the first Bayonetta.

Certainly Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 are different in many aspects, which surely is because they are of different generations and different directors. Kamiya is certainly not interested in being associated with Bayonetta 2.

DKC TF is the Dark Souls of Nintendo. Relax, I'm kidding, DKC TF is harder than Dark Souls.

Of all the games that made me get an online subscription......fucking Tetris.

Believe me you're not alone. As soon as the direct was over a friend of mine told me he got the subscription too.

Nintendo in their following fiscal report :

" We'd like to announce that our subscriptions to the NSO have tripled since the last report ! It "coincidentaly" happened when we launched Tetris 99. Further more, it is clear in our minds that our studios shall now focus on developping exclusive battle royale like content on our platform. *Mario Kart Royale Course gets revealed* "

The best Switch game ever comes out in a little bit more than 6 months

Want to post some shots of the game:

This game looks aaaaawwwwwwwesome! I hope they don't delay it. Considering that this is the first trailer, it looks like it's already close to completion or at least very far in development.

Eh, I'm far from Platinum's biggest fan to be honest. Haven't played nearly any of their games, only a couple hours of The Wonderful 101 (not a fan of), and Star Fox Zero, which doesn't really count as I played it for the Star Fox and not for the Platinum (then again you can see most of its flaws came from Miyamoto rather than Platinum). Haven't ever been interested in Bayonetta, just not my kind of thing thematically although I can imagine the games being awesome, haven't played Nier Automata even though I kinda want to, so, yeah.

In other words, when it comes to Astral Chain, well... YES
