Gamestop lists Spyro Reignited for Switch

Man I wish they'd quit this "will it/won't it" dance and just come out and confirm the damn thing already! XD

Guacamelee 2's business practices keeps on disappointing. Firstly, I thought it was fine to prepurchase the game because there was a 10% discount; then a day after release DLC popped up, not mentioned on the game's eShop page before release; a week later more DLC was made available. Secondly, now two months after release the game including its DLC is offered for slightly less than I paid for the game alone.

I buy hardly any indie games on release day, only make exceptions for developers I can trust on quality. The game itself was good, but it bugs me to own it without its extras, and I won't buy the DLC separately because it's not worth that price. Why couldn't they make the prepurchase offer "pay standard price, but get all DLC with it" instead of 10% off?

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I am hoping to get a Switch later this year.

*quietly buys game*  No one can know.

But for realsies.  Does anyone know when any of

-Super Mario RPG 2

-Donkey Kong 64 2

-Paper Mario Switch

-Virtual Console for all the systems

will come out for Switch?

Crikey, it may be off to a slow start but if the rumours are true this could be a hell of a packed year; Yoshi, Claybook, Fire Emblem, Team Sonic Racing, Trine 3/4, Crash Team Racing, Luigi's Mansion 3, Spyro, Daemon X Machina, Animal Crossing, Mortal Kombat 11, Dragon Quest 11, core Pokemon, possibly Doom Eternal...

Oh yeah, the year isn't looking bad, it looks quite strong.  Nintendo just took a big breather at the start.

There's also Xenon Racer which I am very interested to see how that goes.  Hopefully it's a good game and a good port.

And outside of releases, we should get more info on Bayonetta 3 and Shin Megami Tensei V.

I would do unspeakable things for gameplay footage of Bayo 3. I just hope the prolonged silence isn't a sign it's gone off the rails like Prime 4.

Aye! On the VGC Discord we were arguing about whether Australians actually said crikey or not ...

Also, to be honest, even without rumors the year is hella packed, as most of the games you listed are confirmed : P (in fact I think the only one not confirmed is Spyro and DQ11 outside of Japan)

I say Crikey, though most people don't nowadays, I just inherited a lot of my vocab from my Dad who used a lot of old school lingo.

I believe Doom Eternal hasn't yet been confirmed for a 2019 release on Switch, though hopefully it will make it.

All in all this Q1 for Switch has been a letdown. Like there's nothing between the gulf of NSMBU and Yoshi. Just Trials Rising and Travis Strikes Back. Real dissapointing. Hopefully Q2 is better.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

We're in Q4 from a buisness/financial perspective in the video game sphere. Also, it was clear that they're hoping to ride on the momentum gained from Smash and Pokémon last holiday period. Now, sure it's been slower like it was last year at the same point but I'd reserve my judgement until the next Direct, cuz we know from part of the lineup we've seen that this year will have a stronger spread out release schedule than last year  .... probably. (Or well, it's just hypothetic)
