No Crytek are the team who were the original Farcry team, Crytek later on went on to purchase Free Radical who were the GoldenEye/PD team who are now Crytek UK.

But isn't Crytek UK now defunct?

Yes and no the studio was dissolved but never officially defunct due to how they were acquired which involved some involvement or scheme with the city of Nottingham, rather than shutting the studio down in a usual manner a new separate studio was created with the help of Deep Silver where the workers where transferred to so they could continue work and getting paid while the old studio is dissolved as Crytek couldn't financially support it. In practical terms it's defunct but Crytek can revive it if they wish but that's unlikely.

After much distraction and delays, I'm almost done with Secret of Mana on Switch. It's been really fun, though sometimes the battle system is a bit wonky. I never got to finish it as a kid in the SNES days because I was too young to really keep up with it, so it's been fun to revisit and properly play. Dunno which Switch game to focus on after it though, my backlog is distractingly large now.

Congrats on SoM, I loved it as a kid. I'm in the middle of Super Maro RPG with a similar situation.

What games do you have in your backlog? Name some and let us decide.

First look at the Switch version of Crysis Remastered

That is looking nice. I never played crysis in the past but will pick it up on the switch.

Yeah I'm thinking of getting it too, I never had a PC capable of running it back in the day, and since the PS3/360 versions never got a physical release I skipped them too, so I just never got around to playing it.

Do we have a million sellers thread for this year?

I have way too many games on my Switch I haven't yet beaten, it's actually fairly distracting xD

I think I'm going to tackle Star Link next though, it's been on my SD Card for a while and I'd like to finish it and remove it so I can make room for Catherine Full Body.

Sounds good, have fun! Starlink can be quite enjoyable.

It's pretty enjoyable. I had gotten about halfway through it when I got distracted with another game, which is typical for me. The main annoyance I have with it is that the objectives on planets are pretty repetitive, it's hard to stay interested for long play sessions. I like the mixing and matching of ship and weapon parts though, that's a cool idea.

Link's Awakening just arrived in the mail. Gorgeous cover.

I'll saving it for next month since I still gotta finish The Outer Worlds and it looks like they'll be nothing coming out this month or next. Gotta conserve my gaming rations. So 26 days til I play it, that'll be like a fake release date to give me something to look forward to.

Am I the only one who'd like to see a brand new shooter made using the Splatoon engine?

I'd actually really like to see Nintendo try their hand at an FPS.
