That makes a lot more sense.

It turns out your first guess was correct anyway.

Well, they have revived dead/dormant series many times before; Kid Icarus 3DS, Starfox Zero, Punch-Out Wii, Excite Truck, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Luigi's Mansion 2, etc.

I would love to see an F-Zero revival but I'm afraid they screw it up somehow like they did with Starfox Zero.

I doubt Miyamoto would head the project like he did with Starfox Zero, so the biggest concern is if it ever gets made at all. If Nintendo really decides to leave fuck a ton of money on the table by not making another Mario Kart on Switch, then I could see the Mario Kart team making an F-Zero, I recall them saying they had interest in doing so.

Kid Icarus Switch could be cool. i loved the 3ds version

Switch!!!

I would love another Punch Out!! game. The Wii game was fantastic!

Signature goes here!

Nintendo has now completely removed the 2DS from their site. Only New 2DS XL is on there. The compare section was removed too.

Nice catch.

I know it's already May, but 3DS really could be discontinued any day now. And the price seems all wrong anyway. Switch Lite is a much better value at $200 versus New 2DS XL for $150.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 151 million (was 73, then 96, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million)

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 57 million (was 60 million, then 67 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

When you factor in its troubled start it's incredible it had a nine year and counting life span now would be a good time to discontinue it.

 I LOVE this music

Wasn't it Shigeru Miyomoto who forced motion controls into Star Fox Zero?

So I've heard, yes.

The sooner the better honestly, now that the Lite is out it really has no purpose.

Source? A new F-Zero by the MK8 team without Miyamoto fucking around with it would be amazing.

Monolith on DE, it's planned since 2017 and was green lit when XBC2 did well, development has been since Torna went gold their new game is confirmed to have been in development for just as long which means its likely further along than expected. Monolith have 3 studios with the primary studio split into 3 teams with one working on DE, one on the new game and the third assisting both, one of the other studios is helping with BOTW's sequel while the third assists in other first party projects like AC.
