I am still not sure if I will enjoy Animal Crossing.

Last night I finished Fire Emblem Three Houses a second time. This time the route of the blue lions. The story was fascinating and I never thought it would bring so many new things to the story after I passed the Black Eagles route. Again, one of the specialties of this game is the development of its characters. In the end I ended up crying with the end and with the different finals that some of my students had. This game has been really special for me. I cried even more when the credits came out and the main theme started playing in a version that sounds so nostalgic and is perfect for an ending. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTsJQQlCWtw&list=RDlTsJQQlCWtw&start_radio=1

For anyone playing Smash play around with the new custom button layouts trust me it opens up control schemes for example on the pro controller people are mapping buttons to each of the analogue stick buttons (ones that click) as they're unused in the game and using them as alternatives to the original. For example one player has grab on X so mapped it to one of the sticks so they can grab even faster out of movement as it's all handled by one thumb now while another mapped b to the right analogue so now they can use it as both a c-stick for tilts and for movement freeing up the actual second analogue to be used for other inputs.

Best thing is you can save the custom as a preset and then go back to default for other games and just load up the preset for Smash.

I have a feeling there may be another Direct this coming Thursday. Thoughts?

No way. We won't get anything before the fiscal year report on May 7th.

And even after that I don't expect any Direct before June.

I'm not expecting Direct in June either. I have a feeling Nintendo will skip "E3" this year and make a Direct a bit later. July maybe.

Do I enjoy this ? Maybe? Also starting to hate my annoyed voice than my normal happy voice

Is turning one's phone sideways really that hard?
If it's true that Nintendo finally stopped those 99% off sales then great, about time! Outside of those, the top sellers have long consisted of good games as I recall, except Sword/Shield of course.

Completed Pokemon Sword yesterday... It was the first Pokemon game I had completed/played since Pokemon Blue back in the 90's on the Gameboy... And to be honest, the story and gameplay hasn't really changed or evolved much, it was predictable, reused the same old tropes, they stuck to a formula for almost a quarter of a century. - Not to mention visually it was an eyesore and was extremely linear, I simply expected more... Always baffles the mind how some games keep selling so well without really changing. (Then again, look at Call of Duty!)

Didn't even take long to complete.

But now I am left wanting more... What's a good exclusive to sink my teeth into that isn't a WiiU port?

Loved the Links Awakening remake, Is Animal Crossing worth a purchase? Or is it more of the same as prior releases in the franchise? What else is out there to keep me occupied during the lockdown era?

Well you never update your games list, so I'm not sure which games you've played already...

Based on more recent releases, I'd say either Fire Emblem: Three Houses or Astral Chain. And in a month Xenoblade will be a must play.

That requires more work! :P

I will give Fire Emblem a whirl... Never touched that franchise. Cheers for the suggestion!

Today marks 6 months since the last time I bought a Switch game. (Luigi's Mansion 3)
The Switch has been a system of such contrasts; at times I've been unable to keep up with all the games coming out, at others its as barren as the down  years of the Wii U.
