That's why getting Nintendo consoles for big Nintendo games only will give you droughts like this. If you do play many different games, then I don't really get the complaints after some of the horrible years of the WiiU. We get smaller third party games and several Indies on a weekly basis. Also a bad or mediocre Nintendo Direct could be really bad for Nintendo in a year when two new consoles are releasing.

I'm not into "big Nintendo games only" but there is literally nothing significant dated passed March 20th, and it's March 5th. This is a problem.

Well Im looking forward to Trials Of Mana on April 24th.

First half of both 2018 and 2019 had droughts when it came to bigger games. Im sure they have bigger stuff planned for the second half like they have done for the last three years.

True, early 2018 n 2019 weren't pretty either, though unlike the last 3 years we've already had a presentation detailing what's to come between April-July. I don't yet doubt a strong second half especially if BotW2 drops this year, but they're running out of time to talk about the games releasing in that April-July period, if any.

I really want a Direct as well. I just think a poor showing from Nintendo would be worse than not having one atm. Wait until you have a lot to show and then just blow peoples minds with and overload of announcements.

And I'm keen to play Doom Eternal, Bayonetta 3, BOTW2, Outer Worlds, and Metroid Prime 4. But none of those games has a release date, a release month, or even a release season. Most don't even have a release year. The future is just one giant grey blob of misery, uncertainty and hopelessness, all because of Nintendo's ridiculous obsession with withholding information from its paying customers.

Well they obviously don't have exact release dates for those games. They could have a Direct and just show some trailers for those games with an TBA 2020 date. I would take it, but maybe they are waiting for things to become more certain. If this was 2018 or 2019, I would absolutely be worried too, but both their competitors are coming out with brand new consoles this year. They need their next Direct to have a big impact. I would rather be in the dark than have it confirmed to me that Nintendo wont have much this year. Ill take the anticipation over that.

Also Im getting Nioh 2, Doom Eternal, Resident Evil 3, The Last Of Us Part 2 and maybe FF7R, so I have stuff too look forward to on another console. That certainly helps.

At this stage, they should know if BOTW2 and Bayonetta 3 are coming in 2020 or not, be able to show gameplay of both, and know roughly what month/season Doom Eternal is arriving, as well as being able to show gameplay of it and Outer Worlds.

I'm the total opposite, being kept in the dark is fucking agony, I need to know what's happening, and what I can look forward to this year, if anything.

That's fair enough. I personally just understand why Nintendo is being hesitant atm. Just so much shit happening this year.

And beyond all these titles that are already announced, how about, you know, announcing some new games? Do they just not have any more in the works? What are they doing all day in Nintendo, twiddling their thumbs?

No, they are just making pretty much ALL the big games for the console themselves. All we know for the PS4 this year is one first party game release date as well. That being TLOU2. Its just that many other developers help them out a lot.

Plenty of Nintendo's teams will have had three years (long enough to make a game) since their last release this year; Monolith Soft, the Zelda team, the 3D Mario team. At the very least they should have multiple new games far enough along to show gamplay.

I guess. I think I just used up all my energy being angry during the WiiU era. I also have a backlog, theres Limited Run games and smaller games coming out all the time. Even if Im not interested in most of them, theres still games coming out every week, so I feel like I cant really complain. Theres months upon months where I don't buy anything for the PS4 either, but theres games coming out all the time for that as well.
