By activate my critical thinking you mean blindly believe your assumptions? Nah, I go off what is actually real, what was said as well as what hasn't been said. Nintendo never corrected or denied these statements, so at best they're complacent with the lie.

The Pikmin 4 issue is something that Nintendo would discuss internally with Miyamoto. If you expect Nintendo to call out Miyamoto publicly for pretending that a game that isn't even in development is close to being finished, then you have an unrealistic view of how the world works.

Besides, the absence of Pikmin 4 on Nintendo's regularly published list of upcoming releases should count as denial of the game's existence.

So if I steal your switch and slap you with it you'll just go "oh well that's how the world works!" Yes the world can be shitty, that doesn't excuse shitty behavior.

Now that there is actual tangible evidence, lead with that man! I can't say Nintendo as a whole is lying then, but it's still wrong of them to let Miyamoto lead people on, that we have to figure out for ourselves if he lying rather than just coming out and saying Pikmin 4 is just a wet dream.

If you stole my Switch, I'd give you a clean cut from one ear to the other. Nobody touches my Switch, that's how the world works.

I mentioned the absence of Pikmin 4 on Nintendo's release lists in my first response to you; go look it up. It was there, but you didn't want to listen the first time I said it. What I also pointed out in my first response to you is that Miyamoto was laughing in the interview about Nintendo telling him to not talk about Pikmin 4 anymore. But like I said in my second response, Nintendo isn't going to publicly scold one of their employees when they do something that they were told not to do. Dragging that out in the open would make Nintendo look like a circus, so the way they've actually handled the situation is looking less bad for Nintendo than the alternative. The way they've handled it, there are a bunch of angry fans on forums that mention Pikmin 4 every now and then; a public statement that Miyamoto is lying to people and deceiving them would have made the gaming news and become a huge topic.

My bad my bad, wasn't paying full attention and missed that part.

Yes Nintendo's trying to cover for his lie, that's exactly the problem. Instead of owning up to their mistakes and taking the consequences (which would have no tangible effect, see Pokemon), they're cowardly trying to brush it under the rug, hoping people wont notice.

Anyone here pre-ordering Animal Crossing New Horizon?

Unless for it's a deal, then I don't see the need for pre-ordering. I'll be picking it up Day 1 of course, I'm so ready to get back into AC!

Yep, hoping I get as into it as I did Wild Worlds. New Leaf was fine but I didn't like it as much, only put about 24 hours into New Leaf.

That's interesting, at least I've not heard this sentiment before. What is it that makes you prefer Wild World?

TBH it's probably more to do with me than the game. After all I was only like 10 years old when I got Wild World and it was my first AC game and I just had more time to enjoy it and less other things I had to worry about.

Though I don't like any of the new characters in New Leaf, (Reese, Isabelle, Cyrus etc) I also would have preferred Nook to run the general store still, but I couldn't tell you why.

I guess Wild World was my first AC game and I loved it, while New Leaf just didn't improve the game enough for me to care that much about it.

Because you're the submissive type, rather be Nook's slave than have Isabelle as your slave. :L

I never payed it much attention but now that you mention it you're right, Nook did get the shaft in that game. New Horizons has rectified this, putting him back in the main town with Isabelle having yet to be seen ingame. We know she'll be there of course, just not the central character anymore.

So far at least the game doesn't appear to be a huge step up from New Leaf. We'll get even further control of our town what with us having to build it from scratch, more customization with furniture outside being a thing, and there's now local multiplayer, but otherwise it will be more of the same. There's crafting and resources now but hard to say if that will be much of a positive. I'm hoping the next showing of the game in an upcoming direct will highlight what new things can be done in this game that you couldn't before.

Is it possible to get a New Horizons direct and a general one before the game launches? I realize Animal Crossing has had specific directs before so it would certainly make sense for them to do so again, but we also need a general direct which at this point would probably come in February or March. Looking to the past, Splatoon 2 had a direct in it's release month with a general direct the month prior (E3 but eh still countin it). I could see similar with ACNH, but Splatoon 2 is the only case of this. Every other game specific direct for Switch was a full month prior to release, and/or there wasn't a general direct the month beforehand (ARMS is the only one to follow a general direct).

Best case scenario: General Direct early February, Animal Crossing Direct early March. I fear we'll only get one though, and worse still it could be just the ACNH direct.

Going by pass years the early year ND could fall on the 16th of Jan or 12th of Feb.

Got the date correct but it ends up being a different ND no worries here's looking to the 12th of Feb.

*knocking on the door of whoever does shipment updates around here* Why no numbers updated for Luigi's Mansion 3?

Probably because we don't have any shipment numbers of Luigi's Mansion 3? Will get some in a couple of weeks assuming it enters the top 10 or Nintendo mention it anyway.
