Dang, Platinum has been fired a lot/had their games cancelled a lot recently.

I just want to see some Bayonetta 3 soon.

I dont think they were fired. If Im not mistaken, their contract just reached its end.I mean, Cygames could have extended it, but I guess Platinum just finished their part and Cygames is just giving the finishing touches. As far as I know, this game has been in development for quite a while.I dont think its going to take more than a year for it to release.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yeah that may be true. I just find it weird ... I've never heard of an announcement that someone is no longer developing the game before we even have a release date. Especially the specific announcement that the "contract has ended" (which doesn't necessarily verify one theory or another). You're probably right though, it's just kinda weird. I'm sure it's been done in the gaming industry before but usually it seems like we don't hear it months or possible even a year before launch.

While I believe what i said, I do agree that it is strange.

Hopefully this means the expansions will make their way to the Switch too.

Take-Two Says Civilization VI Sales "Significantly Exceeded Expectations", Excited To Support Switch In Future

The company actually published four games to Switch in the final four months of 2018 - Civilization VI, NBA 2K19, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, and Carnival Games. CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has said that Take-Two is excited about continuing this support for the console going forward.

"We felt good about the platform and we put the titles on Switch that we felt were going to perform well. We are excited about continuing to support the Switch for the right kind of properties."

Expensive and unreliable. I really hope that there's a Joy-Con revision of some kind that fixes some of these glaring structural problems with them.

you and me both and it doesn't help there aren't any third party option for joycons

Claybook coming to Switch. Not really my thing, but cool to see a game with an original concept made possible through clever bespoke technology. Also crazy impressive that they've got this running on Switch, as it uses ray-tracing.

Some new videos off Nintendo's YT channel.

Nintendo announcing NSO NES games in advance just makes me grumble. They're ROMs Nintendo... ROMs. Why advertise something that takes under 5 minutes to upload and implement into the service a week in advance. I'd rather they just advertise them when they get added, because otherwise it just makes them seem proud to pathetically drip feed NSO users.

Also, Etrian Odyssey looks pretty cool but I have a hard time justifying buying new 3DS games these days.
