I personally haven't played the original XC yet, though I have a copy of the Wii version. Xenoblade Chronicles X is a very different game in terms of gameplay and concept compared to XC2. Xenoblade X mostly focus on the open world aspect while XC and XC2 are a bit more contained, though still provide very big worlds, and focus more on story and characters.

While all three have links between each other with references and all, they are all distinctively standalone games. Thus, you don't have to play either the OG or X to better understand XC2. Though it is recommended due to them being high quality games regardless. But if you don't have a lot of time, otherwise, then just go play XC2.

Ok I'll probably just play XC2 then, can't be bothered digging out the wii or emulating the original, and don't own a WiiU anymore either. They may release XC or XCX on Switch at some point anyway who knows.

Yeah, Ubisoft Open-world design really makes you feel that you need to do everything in order to make the game enjoyable like there's no way that I wouldn't want to not maximize my Alliance % and let the Legion roam free around.

Also, the StarFox exclusive missions have been spot-on !

Right? I completely forget im not playing a Star Fox game at times and then I sit and here think, how the hell did Ubisoft make a better Star Fox game than Nintendo? xD

Star Fox Zero port when?

I'm playing through Valkyria Chronicles 1 and really enjoying it but, warning!: it has framerate issues.
I suspect this is because the original was a PS3 exclusive, because Valkyria Chronicles 4 ran great from the couple hours I played.

It's hard to say what's causing the framerate issues, because they even happen on the map screen. None of them are serious though, so it's only mildly irritating.

Now that I am paying attention, you are right. It's odd, but yeah, not gamebreaking.

Would be interesting to see this development-team make an actual Star Fox-game

I haven't played Starlink (and likely never will) but if the game is as good as you guys make it out to be, it would be a smart move to entrust Ubisoft Toronto with the Star Fox. Develop the Nintendo-Ubisoft partnership even further.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
