What time are directs usually announced? If there was one happening Friday JP Time/Thursday US Time, when would that usually be announced, shouldn't be have heard about it by now?

This direct was initially announced 35 hours before its scheduled airing. If it takes place at the same time this week (6PM EDT on Thursday, 7AM JST on Friday), the announcement should happen at 7AM EDT on Wednesday, i.e. in five and a half hours.

I'm really thirsty for this Direct. I haven't been able to play my Switch because of it and have just been playing Melee and a little bit of Fire Emblem Echoes.

Alrighty, thanks. Guess we'll know soon enough then. I originally assumed they'd simply push it back by a week since they seem to prefer to do them on Thursdays, (Or Fridays JP/AU time)  hope we don't have to wait longer than that.

I hope it is this week! It will keep me awake to finish my assignment over midnight..... xD

Well, that was one hell of a Direct!

Oof, Luigi, Town, Kirby Epic Yarn 3DS, Yoshi looking so nice, Isabelle, Animal Crossing, direct was an emotional experience.

Also Crystal Chronicles is cool, childhood bias.

Yoshi's Crafted World is looking way better now than it did back at E3 2017. While the fact we apparently still can't flip the world anytime is a bit bothersome, the appearance of items that let the player flip it mid-level at predetermined points is a huge step up from the tedious method of having to exist the level and do a separate playthrough of the "flipside" like when it was first shown.

It's gone from a "won't buy" to a "probably will buy" for me with this Direct.

And holy crap does it look gorgeous; quite possibly the prettiest visuals yet shown on Switch. The lighting, texturing, and materials seem to have gotten a substantial bump since its debut showing.

With Pokemon Gen 8 AND Animal Crossing Switch slated for next year. 2019 should easily be the peak year for the Switch in Japan.

It indeed looks amazing, but perhaps TOO amazing. Now I fear it'll run at 30fps just like Kirby lel.
