I think it was too narrow for me. And I wasn't feeling the pacing when you smash into a car or start swinging on the poles.
Watching a vid of it now, I don't recall noticing the theme when I played.

Ah, I see. I can see where you're coming from with that stage. A lot of it is just a narrow linear path forward. That end part being chased by the giant 18 wheeler was meh as well.

Also, can't argue with that song. It's so good, I have it on my playlist when I drive around. SA1 overall had great music.

Nothing's wrong, just for some people is little strange to see realistic city and people in 3D Mario game.

Wha? I got nothing against it, I actually like that not only is the game open world, but they're taking risks as far as new environments. I do find it a bit frustrating that I can't help but draw some Sonic 06' comparisons with the people walking around in the city juxaposed to a half-the-size Mario, but the difference is this game seems much much better than that one. Got a chance to play the demo at E3 for a preview article and had a blast - was the quickest 20 minutes ever.

There's nothing inherently wrong with it, it's just very jarring for me to see such a difference in height between Mario and the other inhabitants. I know that Mario is short, but I didn't know he was that short!
