Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Charging the Nintendo Switch

Well anything is ok in portable. Just a matter of speed.
Docked though? Thete is no third party usb c charger that meets the docked demand AND be cheaper than the 30$ ninty charger. Watt for watt the official charger is the cheapest out there.

Around the Network

Always the dock. I rarely use it as anything but a home console.

I've yet to find a third party charging solution that'll work in docked mode. But if you are interested in some USB-C to USB 3 cables that are pretty reliable, these have been serving me well:

Nice!

If you don't need a more portable version I would buy the original Nintendo USB-C power adapter as it is quite cheap.

I'v spend > 40+ EUR for a nice flat power adapter ( https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XC15MCK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) which fits nicely within the subsonic armor case ( https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01MZAQYX7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ).

The subtel is USB-C PD charge and has enough power to charge while playing (in docked mode with gigabit adapter connected) and can also charge another device via USB-A at the same time ...

USB-C QC charging won't give you any advantage over USB-A – in its current generation (< 4) its simply incompatible with the switch.
