This summer, Koei Tecmo is offering a new VR experience as part of an amusement facility called “VR Sense” that aims to bring current and new titles with a VR twist.

Famitsu reports that Dead or Alive Xtreme is being added as one of the titles for VR Sense to go with the recently announced Super Sengoku Coaster that will also be at the event.

As for Dead or Alive Xtreme Sense, it’ll players hang out with the heroines and actually “smell” them through a scent function that is being added to the VR machine. There’s also a misting function that will allow players to get a feel for the water that gets splashed in the VR experience.

Guests will get to check out the VR titles using machines as shown in the above image. More details for the event will be revealed on a later date.

Dead or Alive Xtreme Sense will be available to check out sometime this summer at VR Sense.

So guys, what do you think? It reminds me of those 4D movies that some theme parks have, where they simulate certain smells during the movie! Now, my question is, who thought of this, and why? I honestly don't have a very good sense of smell, so it probably wouldn't even be all that meaningful to me, but I assume that they wouldn't want to make the girls smell all sweaty and icky, so I guess they'll go with a perfume smell? I have no idea personally. But hey, I guess they're trying out something different! Who knows what could come oout of this!

I remember a trip to Disney land, where you put on 3D glasses and watch a movie in 3D, and at some point theres "bubbles" in the movies.... and they look real.

Then your mind blows when you try to pop one, and its actually a real soap bubble, a bubble machine blew.
The bubbles half of them are from the movie & 3D glasses the rest are real.

Maybe theres a future in this sort of thing for VR.

That said.... "smell" girls? whaaat?

I still cannot believe that this is from the same studio that animated Transformers Prime lol.

The games were funny in their overtly sexualized way, but this is going too far. I guess some otaku with specific fetishes will swarm all over these machines though.

Why not just buy a raw tuna and push that under your nose while gaming?
