Hello, I have no idea if this is even possible or how desirable it is amongst the people here, but I was wondering if we could have some kind of game ratings tracking on the home page of this website where we have a data base showing how users on this website feel about each video game. On our profile page we can rate games (this still needs to be fixed because it is super glitchy when you type names of games in and hit backspace or just space and doesn't even have every game out there in it) from 0.1 to 10.0. Can we just build a program into the website that compiles and averages out those scores for each game that is reviewed by users here so that we can see what people, in general, on this site think about each game?

I think this would be cool, would generate a lot of discussions and make the site more active if people themselves could participate in the reviewing of game process on this website instead of just having occassional people review games only. Thoughts?

Like a top 100 games, as voted on by the community? And games would rise/fall based on member ratings? That's a really cool idea :)

However, site staff members are already stretched pretty thin. I don't think it's doable at this time :/

The game database on this site is unfortunately in shambles, because if we actually did have a good one I'm sure that this site would be much more appealing. I'd put my whole game collection on here if it worked well.

Nah, there will be too many troll rating votes and while it might make the site more active, it will turn this place into a much less inviting game site to be.

There are too many of those as it is.

Wouldn't that turn out to basically be like:

Nintendo fans: Downvote Sony games
Sony fans: Downvote Nintendo games
Xbox fans: Upvote Xbox games
PC fans: Downvote anything that isn't 60fps

You forgot the other side of "downvote everything on PC because it's indie games/mobas/early access"

So, does that mean Gold Supporters could give a game a 40/10 rating, then? Or 4x the weight? I wonder how that'd work out!
