Wowza at that GBA number, lol.

The gap is shrinking..... 3.8m more to go.

the attach rate isnt all that bad either :)

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Impressive pace considering the circumstances (non-holiday launch, stock restrictions). And nice to see Arms already at over 150k sold retail.

Wii took 6 weeks? What in the hell took it so long? And I have a hard time believing it took PS4 49 weeks to cross a million in Japan. That legit shocked me.

The 3DS vs. Switch race is going to even out in Japan pretty soon because the Switch kinda squandered its opportunity to take advantage of the 3DS' down period in spring/summer 2011 by not having enough stock. 3DS sales recovered by August 2011 with the price cut.

Stock issues.  Same reason PS4 had some hiccups early on.  Console manufacturers are generally more conservative than people think, except for Microsoft.  They manufacture around what they feel is a healthy launch quantity and adjust as necessary.  Attempting to immediately stuff the channels can backfire spectacularly if the device fails to catch on.

And with the Wii, Nintendo was extra cautious cause they just came off the GameCube.

Similar thing now with the Switch, but unlike the Wii, they are having a hard time upping production due to the NAND component shortage that set in early this year.

It took around 11 months for PS4 to hit 1m.

True, but Switch stocks problems are much bigger than they were for Wii in same time.

This is from just two days ago

WTF@3DS? It's almost as if it had a 2nd launch or something

Hahaha, yeep. The price cut certainly helped a lot.
