Nope, they do not get paid anything at all.

I remember the good old days when this site updated hardware and software every week o a Wednesday I think, about 2 weeks behind. Think we are about 5 weeks behind now.

Hmm, I think it's actually 2 different people, I believe Machina does the software, and Trunkswd does the hardware, with ioi doing the adjustments.

Isn't Trunkswd the guy who writes 95% of the articles? That could explain why he's a bit slower with updating the numbers.

So it can be done! Why has it gotten this bad?

People have already explained but it's also worth noting that while we got new numbers very quick there were some blowouts when companies and NPD released their numbers. That affected credibility over the internet and we had cases in which ps3 or 360 were under/overtracked a HUGE ammount. 

 

It was more fun that way but at least now you can see late updates as a way to track record of what companies have released.
