Forums - Gaming Discussion - 2018 is going to be amazing for Vgchartz

The first half of 2017 was filled with amazing games (Yakuza, NiOh, Nier, Persona 5) but we can all agree that they were quite niche and tracking their sales wasn't quite exciting. The only big games were The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

For 2018 it seems the whole year is going to be filled with blockbuster games. Propably starting with REmake 2 (release 21 january for it's 20th anniversary), Far Cry 5 (february), God of War (march), Spider-man (june), RDR2 (august) and the typical holiday titles for the rest of the year.

Finally an excicting first half of the year. SO MUCH SOFTWARE!

Yeah 2018 will be huge but you missed 2 big ones for 2017. For Honor sold well and Ghost Recon Wildlands is one of the biggest titles of the year.

Nah 2017 is still a better year for me. Probably just because i'm not a fan of western titles so none of them appeal to me.

However I might be in the minority.

I'm talking about sales. I would rather see millions of software sales every week than the drought that is happening now, till the release of Crash Bandicoot.

Isn't the biggest game this year so far Ghost Recon: Wildlands?

Ok my bad then. However I think 2017 is not that bad though. We already get 9 million seller during the first half of 2017 and more games will join the list by the time holiday come.

Yeah the holidays are always amazing.

Of those GoW might get an active screenshot thread for a week, RDR2 some bickering on who gets more quality pixels. The rest doesn't make waves here. It's going to be the usual rumors and tweets to keep the site going.
