Struggling? They cant supply them fast enough, its a smashing success.

A 10 year old could make a super nes mini with on online tutorial. They will make a quick buck and discontinue it.

The PS4 out for over 4 years is outselling the switch by a significant margin....

Stock shortages... Besides, just because it's selling less than the PS4 doesn't deem it a failure, not to mention Nintendo's market cap just exceeded Sony's (not to mention their share value being like $6 higher than Sony's), so I'm sure Nintendo's doing just fine.

leo-j, really? Do you honestly believe the trite you type?

What I've said isn't wrong?

3ds and 2ds continue to get more support and games than the switch by a wide margin....

virtual console is not even happening on the switch.(with little to no announcement).. when the 3ds had it from the get go

Unlike Sony and Xbox , instead of remastering the games and releasing them on switch, they are dropping entirely new consoles with 20 plus pack in games..... where's the switch support?

Considering most of their revenue comes from

iOS games and the 3ds

ffs leo-j, think with your brain. The console is heavily supply-constrained and PS4 is being adjusted by VGC because of undertracking. And it's common knowledge that most console have their peak year within the third year of their release. Give it a chance!

Vgc has the PS4 undertracked by almost 2 million units .... in def not using their numbers

How is the Nintendo Switch struggling? This is not a Wii U kind of situation the system is having.

Struggling to be made .... while Nintendo uses resources on creating their other 5 consoles (3ds, 3ds xl, 2ds, 2ds xl, and now snes mini)

Wait, let me get this straight... So, it's your belief that the parts going into the SNES mini are the highly sought after parts, also being purchased by Apple, that Nintendo is short on for pumping out more Switch's?

UR telling me the 2ds xl and snes mini are using nothing from the switch? They couldn't even make the nes classic without having issues selling it.... the Wii was the last thing they made where it sold out non stop while having millions available to purchase every month for a while...

Not the parts that have rendered the Switch supply constrained, no.

Nintendo has a hard time producing Switches because they are battling component parts with Apple, mainly NAND flash. This is NOT a case of not having any demand, it's the offer that struggles this time. And it's a good problem to have.

If you think the SNES Classic will detract from Switch sales then you clearly don't understand business or the market. The SNES Classic is not a replacement for the Switch and no one (but you, seemingly) thinks as such. The market will not look at the SNES Classic and decide to get that over the Switch because it comes with 21 games and the Switch doesn't have VC, they are different products. The SNES Classic is a novelty; people will buy it as a collectors item, as a throwback, or as a gift. People will not buy it to replace or delay their Switch purchase.

If you call the type of games the 3DS is getting "more support" than the Switch then I don't know what to tell you. Do you take surface information, jumble it together, and then take stabs in the dark or something?

The reason the SNES Classic is more expensive ($80 compared to $50) imo...

-Has an 'exclusive' game that isn't available outside of the pirated ROM. (Starfox 2)
-Has two controllers instead of just one controller
-Has more 'classic' games imo (Super Mario RPG, Earthbound, Zelda:Link to the Past, Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, etc.)

The reason the NES and in this case the SNES can be sold so cheap is the parts are very inexpensive compared to those in the Switch and don't compete for the same components. Remember Nintendo likely has to buy all the licenses for the third party games included or at least be given the rights, and sell these systems at a profit since its an all-in-one system with barely any outside accessories and no additional separately purchased games. Where they are still selling these at <$100.
