Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Have you seen the one where he was in Brazil? They represented entirely different backgrounds, and yet both were fit for the song

Strangely I don't think there is a version of the music video which has the 2nd verse left intact, which is a shame because it's powerful even though it should use slurs, you can hear it from 1:10 the words Jew and Kike are left out, blurted over with a loud noise instead in most music video versions, honestly I think the slurs just add to to the song in terms of how much shit a person can take, if you're literally using their race / religion as an attack on a person

The original verse

Beat me, hate me
You can never break me
Will me, thrill me
You can never kill me
Jew me, sue me
Everybody do me
Kick me, kike me
Don't you black or white me

I know the version on my phone has them in. It really compliments the song

One of the all time greats. It all went downhill after he had that accident shooting that Pepsi commercial and Prince ruined his life by wearing high heel shoes. Both should still be living.

Jew me?
Boy, I'd love to have been a fly in the room when they were pitching THAT one to the record label.

The other blurted over word is Kike, horrifyingly bad slur for a Jewish person.

As much as the words are terrible, I agree with you that the song is more complete with them included, it just adds to the severity of what people will do to each other or call each other to put others down.

It's extreme... but the truth of the matter is people use those terms as insults every day.

So, that term is for Jewish people what the N word is for African Americans?
Yeesh, that's some pretty brutal stuff from MJ right there. But like I always say, the Truth is Brutal.

It's a shame that they're both gone, especially since we never did get that dream crossover/duet from them that everyone wanted. From what I hear, Bad was supposed to be a duet between the two, but Prince HATED the song and axed the whole thing.

Yeah like it says on urban dictionary it was the hebrew for Circle which was basically what Jewish people going to the States marked their papers with if they were iliterate and couldn't sign their own names, they marked the papers with a circle, calling someone a Kike is basically saying they're nothing more than a mark on a piece of paper that shows them up as an illiterate Jew :( it's awful... but that is the message of the song, that people can be fucking terrible to each other and we need to admit that fact before you can try to fix it.

Yeah you pretty much get the whole story told by Quincy Jones in the special edition version of Bad which is pretty much my favorite MJ album.  Looks like Bad 25 is even better then the special edition verison even though it no longer has the Quincy Jones interviews.

That's my favorite album too. I wish that some they do a documentary series with Quincy that's centered around working with Michael. Similar to how they did the Beatles' Anthology series. And they have him and other people who worked with Michael talk about the full process behind making Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, and everything in between (Motown, the Pepsi incident, We Are The World, Captain EO, and the Bad World Tour). That would be very interesting to listen to. Behind the Scenes with Michael Jackson in his Prime.
