Honestly speaking, I think of them are two different games, with that said, I hate the game rules for Overwatch. So that's my thing, but love the characters.

Splatoon is one of those I have yet to try etc. So not having strong feelings for it one way or another.

OW is such a complicated game to understand to me. I've collectively watched about an hour of Overwatch on streams and I still don't completely "get" the game. Besides it's shooty-shooty-bang-bang aspect, I don't see what's so special about it besides being colorful.

On the flipside, I saw Splatoon for 10 seconds and instantly knew the hook. Splatoon is just easier to get into in my opinion.

Personally, I love Splatoon... but you have to be honest and pick Overwatch.

Love it or hate it, that game blew up and took over the FPS market in a night. While it is obvious that it borrows and is inspired by other games and much like Splatoon a big segment of the game's appeal has less to do with the game and more to do with the characters and style, it still is a overnight sensation and one of the most popular games out there.

Splatoon also good but not quite at the Overwatch level... outside of Japan, fools in Japan love this game and it is probably do six figures in its first week over there.
