- I didn't say PS4 didn't win May, what I said was that it was down from May 2016. The increase in hardware is due to the Nintendo Switch (NPD Analyst specifically said that) and it was an increase of only $9 million(and I doubt Switch only sold 30,000 units for the whole month). Simple math tells you that if you exclude the Switch, hardware sales are down. Since every system is selling poorly except the 3DS and the PS4, and the 3DS will likely sell about the same as the prior year given Nintendo's projections, then PS4 is down. Its simple math.
- You'll have to give me a link to that chart because all I've seen NPD release about PS4 from May was that PS4+XBox One is up vs PS3+XBox 360 (which, BTW, was during the Great Recession)

It varies between week because Switch sales are dependent on the supply of units where PS4 always sells 12-14K with little variation. If you actually look at it, Switch double PS4 every week in May. Also, I think you should check again because Switch doubled PS4 the week of the 12th (http://gematsu.com/2017/06/media-create-sales-61217-61817) EDIT: Missed Pro sales. They are pretty minute (only 4-5K), but technically, it would be less than doubling. So let's say 1.5 times and split the difference.
I find it funny you said "Why are you claiming things that aren't true," when you actually said things that aren't true ("and it isn't even the case this week with Arms", Switch sold 37K vs 18K which is doubling)
But again, you can't look at the future. You say "It doesn't have these games," but you forget the system has been out for 4 months and games take 2-3 years to makes. The reason I say Japanese developers will move to the Switch because its selling out worldwide. Before, developers didn't see a reason to port over software or didn't see much in the system. Now it sells out every week in Japan and the US. Stores can't keep any inventory. Why do you think Monster Hunter XX was ported to Switch in Japan? Capcom had to rush something out since its doing so well. Where do you think the next Monster Hunter will be? On Switch. As these projects finish, you will see developers move to the Switch.
Gematsu reports that Arms has sold 100,652 units in its first week and seems to have had a knock-on-effect on Switch sales, which rose from 27,291 to 37,709 in the same week.
The game’s impressive sales dwarfs Tekken 7’s debut week numbers of 58,736, and it’s already beaten the fighter’s lifetime sales figure of 76,603. Arms also sold double the units that Street Fighter 5 managed in it’s first week – 46,836 – making it one of the biggest fighting games in years.
What do you think Capcom and Namco think when they see these figures? Companies are going to be looking at the Switch more seriously for their games and will be reluctant to sign exclusivity deals for PS4 exclusives. PS4's life is coming to an end. It's going to have to start thinking about making a new system, especially as the market is moving away from it in the US and Japan. Despite what a lot of fans think, the PS4 was not as successful at launch as the Switch is now. So what does Sony do? Do they try and get something out there so they can snag development for their system, or do they sit back and hope that their consumers don't get absorbed by the growing PC market. This is why I said at the outset that Sony releasing a new system is going to be influenced by the Switch. If it wasn't a roaring success, Sony could have ignored it. Now, it will be hard to as Nintendo begins to absorb the downmarket and PC absorbs the upmarket.

Where did I actually say that? Nowhere, because I never did.
What I actually said was "The bold is a misunderstanding of the NPD data." Next time you discuss something, how about you go read what they said rather than make up your own interpretation of what they said.
37k is not double 24k, do you know how math works? And you said it doubles PS4 sales every week, looking at sales of past weeks quickly disproves your claim, you really shouldn't be lying and be disingenuous about something that can be checked so easily. Lol at excluding PS4 Pro sales to fit your agenda. Anyway like I said, Japan is an insignificant market for Sony, Playstation is a global brand, it doesn't depend on 2-3 markets like MS and Nintendo do.
Again, if you could read, you'd notice that I actually corrected my previous post. I bolded it since I'm pretty sure you didn't. But I guess we can't be honest and point out where we made mistake.
Regardless, Switch, a system with significant supply constraints, is outselling the PS4 (with 2 SKU) 1.5 times. My point was that the Switch is beating the PS4 in Japan. You only focused on the doubling because you had no other leg to stand on and claimed from the rooftop that I had to lie to prove a point. It's entirely false and you're an intellectually dishonest hack.
By not making games for it? Like I said, Switch will pick up all the budget tier developers of the Vita and also release their game on PS4. Big games like MH World are just not possible on the system. Devs are very happy on PS4 and especially with Japanese sales overseas this gen, they're not gonna abandon it for an unproven platform with inferior hardware.
You keep repeating this and bring no facts. Do you really think the Switch is not going to get Monster Hunter after the success of the games on the 3DS and the success of the Switch re-release? Come on man. As anyone knows, if a system sells well, it will get games for it. Even the Nintendo Wii, which the industry complains about, had a slew of third party games. Just like the DS. Just like the 3DS. I don't know how you are arguing against a pretty obvious fact. (By the by, Wii software sales absolutely trounced PS3 software sales)
PS4 hasn't even peaked yet son it's just hitting its stride. PS4 is Zeus mode now, how u expect these mortals to challenge it.

The difference between you and me is that I can bring facts. You didn't refute my original calculation because you were unable to do so. Instead, you brought faulty data which you failed to provide the source too (since you're so quick to misrepresent my arguments based on your other comments, I expect you made it up). You basically tried to ignore the fact that ARMS blew out two other fighting games on Sony's systems. And, of course, you don't like my arguments because I bust the "PS4 is the coolest bubble."
If you want to cheerlead, go ahead. I enjoy my system and you can like yours. But if you want to talk sales and business, then be prepared to discuss, and if you make a bad argument or misrepresent someone's argument, then be ready to be called out on it.
