Own a Wii U. Expect however many gaming websites to say the same thing

Go out in the real world and people will think you're talking about the Wii. Thankfully, the Switch is more well known. Even my clueless friends still knew it was "that new Nintendo console"

Not sure if this counts for your research im a wii U owner who wont buy a switch.

So then, do you guys think the Switch is making a huge impact to gamers that never owned a Wii U?

 Do you think the majority of Switch owners now never owned a Wii U before? I know there really isn't enough hard evidence to prove either way, but that is why I'm trying to gather as much data as possible.

With the original Wii it was easy to see that it was reaching people outside the hardcore Nintendo fan base in a big way, but with the Switch its still debatable.

Yep! Bought the The Wii U 2-3 Weeks after it launched. Now bought the Switch 1 month after it launched!

I plan on getting a Switch , and have a dusty Wii U in the garage 😆

Bought a wii u at launch time but haven't bought a Switch yet and probably won't until the end of the year or next year. However if Mario Odessey is pants then it might take a lot longer to buy one. I bought a Gamecube at launch but didn't buy a wii until 4 years after launch so clearly the more successful the console the less likely I am to buy it.
