Forums - Nintendo Discussion - My "first" Nintendo system

I've "had" and played on Nintendo systems before. However, this is the first time i actually bought and fully own one myself.

I was waiting for the New 2DS XL launch because of the price difference. But today i saw the New 3DS XL cut down to 150€, which is the New 2ds xl launch price. So I bought it. Feels good.

Which game(s) I got?

..none. Plan was to start with Xenoblade but I thought i'd try several demos at the eshop before deciding on my first full game.

Pics later cause both the phone and 3DS are charging

Congrats. I'd suggest using the VC to catch up on older Nintendo games that you might have missed.

welcome!

I'm not going to recommend you the famous stuff... if you like Level 5 you should buy Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale. It's a small eshop game that costs less than $10, fun story and fun characters!

I feel bad. I've had a new 3DS since it launched and largely ignored it. I've still put in probably a thousand or more hours though since it laubched February 2015, which is much more than I can say for my significantly older PS4.

If I could make a suggestion : Fire Emblem(not Valentia), Majora's Mask(not Ocarina), Mario 3D Land and Monster Hunter 4 are the best starting games I think. Especially FE and MM. Monster Hunter 4 is really good but I don't know if the online is dead or not. Generations is garbage.

Nice, NES was my first Nintendo system. I still haven't picked up a 2/3DS, but I just might have to for Samus Returns (I picked up a GBA for Metroid Fusion back in the day as well).

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Hello nintenbros

I'm not sure Xenoblade was a good fit on the 3DS. It was surely for the japanese people, but I feel the game is severely gimped to be on 3DS. Play it on a home console.

Fire Emblem Awakening on the other hand.

Also I totally support Onionberrys recomendation of Attack of the Friday monster. Such a great game.

Cool. Enjoy. If you can get a New 3DS XL for the same price as the 2DS XL, that's a no brainer. The 3D isn't life changing but it's cool in some games and if you don't like it you can always turn it off.

Nintenbros...

I think you mean, 'Nintendrones'?
