Because that's what I think. There's 1M switches in Japan with not much having been released since Mario Kart 8 on the 28th of April.

Which, despite being released 50 days ago, is still able to constatly be on top 5 and sell well. Let's not forget Zelda, which is still having legs. Meaning... those 2 games are still very relevant (and not old at all).

Tekken 7 was the first big game PS4 got in Japan after many weeks too and it didn't to well... all of that despite being probably the world's biggest fighting franchise.

Just deal with it for once.

Big difference - the PS4 has dozens upon dozens of big games released for it already. There's a huge backlog to buy from.

The Nintendo Trinity of Hardware

A) Good Launch Titles
B) Good Hardware Concept
C) Adequate Hardware Supply

You can only have 2 of the 3, never all 3, lol.

Totally agree.

In my opinion, it's not very impressive for what is supposed to be the Switch's big game in almost 2 months.

You do realise that 10% (higher percent with digital sales) of Switch owners bought new IP that was in sale just for two days!? How exactly that isn't impressive!? How much exactly big PS4 games after launch have opening with sales of 10% of PS4 user base!?

Yeah, there is also another big difference: PS4 has a 5m install base there, Switch is still reaching 1m or so.

By your logic, every big Switch game should to do amazingly well and every big PS4 game that flops can be "excused". lol

(Btw, Switch have more than 90 games already, that's a lot for something this new).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

So the Switch only got 1 of those 3?

Dire stock situation for Switch. Nintendo really needs to get this sorted before Splatoon, not during or after.

ARMS ended up not doing too badly. Other sites certainly made this seem to be a possibility.

There was a thread here, about nintendo apologizing for stock issues, early on today.

They said that sometime in July they should start shipping more units.

I doubt they ll be able to keep everything in stock, for splatoon week.

Good to see ARMs do 100k+, and PS4/PS4pro above 24k.

If this is true, then the sales should gradually increase again in the next weeks. If they can keep up a 30k+ baseline until Splatoon 2 launch and then a 35-40k baseline until fall the situation would already be much better, though still not perfect. Worldwide, that would probably translate into a 200k baseline for July and 250-300k by september (if it still gets sold out fast by that point, of course).

Uh, excuse me but FAST RMX is pretty kickass if you ask me.

It didn't have a large number, but it's been shown before that a large number isn't necessary if what you DO have is really good.
