We know Sunshine and Galaxy are loved by most gamers. Now, the question is which series would people from VGChartz prefer to have a sequel?

 

I'd put my money on Galaxy 3 over Sunshine 2. I love Sunshine, but its unique nature is what makes it so great. Leaving it as a one-time thing helps it keep its shine. 

 

On the other hand, Mario Galaxy combines both the linear and open gameplay we've come to love from all Mario games. A new game on the Switch opens up so many possibilities.

Given we're getting another sandbox Mario in the shape of Odyssey this year, I'd prefer Super Mario Galaxy 3.

Galaxy 2 already exists you know? xD

I I think Galaxy is way better than Sunshine but I would like to see that summer tropical vibe again on Mario, so maybe Sunshine 2 but fixing the problems of the first one.

Knack 2 will completely cannibalize GTA5 sales, as in setting GTA5 sales to zero and starting off with tens of millions sold.

Sunshine. Loved the tropical holiday theme, and the experiment with the F.L.U.D.D device. Plus we have already had 2 Galaxy games. To be honest I would settle for Sunshine getting the Wind Waker HD treatment.

I think Sunshine 2 should happen because all great games deserves a sequel.
And GameCube should up this generation on virtual console and it would be good to be able to play both on Switch.

However, Odyssey is more similar to Sunshine that what it is to Galaxy.

maybe Sunshine 3D is in development for 3DS for Holiday 2018.

Super Mario 64², Super Mario Sunshine 2, Super Mario Galaxy 3, Super Mario 3D World 2, New Super Mario Bros 3, I'll be happy with any of them.

Galaxy 3 easily.

Sunshine was the weakest of the 3D Mario games, I'd even put 3D World above it even though that one's not even part of the same series technically. Galaxy 1 and 2 are brilliant. Not as brilliant as 64 was, and I'd most want a 64 sequel, but it seems Odyssey may yet be a spiritual successor to that one. We'll see.
