who cares.. horizon is 30fps and runs insanely well

Yeah. Game is gorgeous! I'm a guy who can play either way. It's not like I'm looking at both at the same time. If I were I'd go with 60. But higher res at is my preference over 60fps.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Well, that sucks. I'm so used to 60+ fps that 30 looks like slideshow to me. If this was also released on PC I wouldn't give two monkeys, but now it looks like I'm gonna have to get used to more "cinematic" experience.

Edit:

At this point I don't understand why would anyone go for PS4Pro upgrade over original, where most of in house AAA, system sellers, run nither in native 4k nor 60fps. Total waste of money IMO.

For PS4 Pro its more about loading times being less and having a smoother experience. Yes it can do 4K but thats not really what you are paying for. It is a minor cost in comparison to the standard PS4. Some games will be optimized for it and some wont. That in general however is why mid gen refreshes are a bad idea. MS will learn this shortly with the onex. That console is way too expensive and will see no better visuals than the PS4 Pro.

Who honestly expected 60? That'd be unrealistic even if this game wasn't open world. This feels like when a customer misreads a "buy 3 get 1 free" sign as "buy 1 get 3 free."

From my experience, the PS4 does not do any of those things better than the base PS4.  Its does not have faster memory, HDD or any subsystems.

On the other hand MS X1 has a greater chance on improving on all of these points because every part of the system is faster than the base X1 and even the PS4 Pro.  Memory and HDD are faster.  With more memory avaliable it can be used as a cache and stated so by MS thus allowing the developer to load and keep more parts of the game in memory for faster access.  If anything the X1X will probably perform on a hold much better than all current systems on the market.

It isn't surprising given how the game looked at E3.
60fps would have been nice, but no doubt the game will look nice.

"Not feasible" lol.

Article writer's words, not Insomniac's.

Here's what Insomniac said:

Also, Insomniac has long since said that they won't prioritize 60fps in their games any more because consumers and reviewers alike seem to care more about graphics.

It is what it is. Shame there won't be 1080 60.

It wasn't ever promissed it. THe system do output sub-4k that is upped to 4k and show a similar result (as verified by DF) and the CPU is about the same as PS4 so 60fps wasn't ever a concern.

The game looks like a under budget movie. It don't look bad, but it don't look good either. What is the use of having a PS4 Pro when you can't have 60fps. Hopefully the game makes up for that in its story.

Not sure what you are talking about, and what part of CPU on PS4Pro being very little more powerfull than PS4 made you think the game running on PS4 at 30fps would be 60fps on PS4Pro?

I'm seeing a lot of potshots from people that seem to not even know what PS4Pro is about.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Not a problem. The game looks great and I bet it will be locked 30fps, which is good enough in my opinion. Both inFamous: Second Son and Breath of the Wild play great at 30fps, so I see no reason why this would be a problem for Spiderman. ^^

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Expected... but still disappointing.
