Note the words borderline. Someone who actually harms people would be a flat-out terrorist.

Well they would have been borderline before they planned and carried out their attacks too. So I still don't see the difference...

Regardless, this attack won't help anyone. I'm afraid we'll see another big event in London in 10 days

This is horrible. I have a feeling people think the authorities have failed them and so they're taking matters into their own hands.

How is killing innocent civilians "taking matters into your own hands"? That guy is a lunatic, nothing more. If he was that disappointed and motivated why not fly to Syria and kill actual terrorists? Because he's a fucking coward and a moron.

I think it's pretty offensive to somehow try to find the blame for this incident in the authorities.

He's not saying their actions were justified. Rather, they were explainable.

To them, it's a righteous cause. To us, it's nothing more than a pitiful excuse for being a murderer.

You don't need to defend his words. We all know the subtext he's trying to tell us here.

Perhaps I do- perhaps not. I'd simply prefer not to have a thread lile this result in a flame war

jesus, we forget that we're all human beings.

If only people catched this simple concept earlier in our short history, we would already have acheived world peace.

Unfortunately, it's because we are human beings that the world is like this. It's part of our primal nature. But it's also because we are human beings that we constantly struggle to overcome it, with varying degrees of success.

So what begins, exactly?

I'm just glad I don't live in London...

I would still rather be here than in your neck of the woods.

Here we go, shots have been fired back. If I was living in London, I'd get the hell out of there.

Actually, if you were living in London, even with everything that is going on right now, you'd realise how large and relatively safe the place is.

For real. I would not want to live in a city that's turning into a Counterstrike map. Last thing I'd want is to be killed because some terrorist hates refugees or wants 72 virgins

I suggest you look at what's going on on your own doorstep (assuming your profile is accurate) before making comments like that http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40323999

Certainly in the context of the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy, your comment is absolutely right. There is a lot of anger right now, and there have been protests and demonstrations about how the situation is being handled. However, in the context of this particular attack on Muslims, it's too early to say, until we know more about the attacker (who has since been arrested)

Well, it's good that Britain for the most part is still a civilized country. I doubt they will sway more to the right after this. Probably gonna sway to the left even more after the whole Brexit disaster.

Indeed, in the midst of all of this, there were celebrations up and down the country this weekend remembering the life of Jo Cox, an MP who, while campaigning for Remain during the EU Referendum, was murdered by a far-right terrorist.

Yeah, Brexit talks start today. Would love to be a fly on the wall in that room...

How could a thread about muslims in the politics section of VGC ever result in a flame war? You need to have some faith, bro.

Like you, I don't know the motivations of the killer. But I hope you're right.

I hope it ends here.

Oh and nobody cares that you're offended. It won't hurt you.

I don't follow. If you're trying to say my comment is insensitive, then I completely agree.

Yeah...totally. I should make a thread about Trump as well. I'm sure that'll be a great way to have a loving and graceful discussion with others.
