It would make sense to release Spider-Man in the fall of 2018 to combat Halo 6. Or maybe TloU 2 will be ready by then?

GOW will release in feb/march (every GOW game is released in march)

Days Gone more likely in May

Spiderman in June/July

TLOU II will most probably release in November.

Detroid, I think it may release this year if there is a window of release that has no AAA game.

LOL the Last of Us part 2 is far away from that, lucky early 2019,I Will not be surprised If release in 2020,same for Death Stranding

How many unreleased games they have is literally the least important statistic in there pertaining to what the arguments here is.lol

Sony also has 207 released games compared to 92 of MS'. The only thing that matters here and proves you wrong is that on average games announced at Sony's events take 13.10 months to release, while games announced on MS' stages take 14.54 months to release on average. The fact that Sony's output is over 2 times that of MS' just shows how incompetent MS is compared to Sony.

The number of unreleased games does matter yo my comment.  Sony has shown more unreleased gamez than MS that makes Microsoft better at showing games that are releasing because they have less games unreleased than Sony. Saying it's the least important statistic is taking my comment out of context.

No it doesn't, because Most Sony games that aren't released are the ones they showed last year for the first time, or 2015 for some like Dreams, GT Sport.

While MS' unreleased games go as far back as 2013 like Below, or 2014 for Crackdown, Cuphead. And that's ignoring all the games they showed before they even started developing them like Phantom Dust, Scalebound and had to cancel them because they had no idea how they were actually going to make them.

Having more games that are yet to be released doesn't mean they were announced too early, being announced in 2013 and still having no release date is being announced too early. Sony could announce 20 games at TGS and if they come out within the next two years, we can't say they were announced too early, while MS could announce only one game and if it takes as long as Crackdown then it was announced too early. Are you getting how this works?

Even in this case Sony said that those were on concept stage, very early in development, so no one can really fault them for being too early (same with metroid)

at PSX the release date of the first 3 games will be most likely confirmed, and at the end of PSX we will get gameplay of TLOUp2 that will end with a bang and 2018 release.

the game in order to be announced last year, it needed to have been some months in production.   So if by PSX 2016 it had 5 months in production; if it releases 2 years after that, it would be 29 months of production.   Since Naughty already has experience with the PS4 the game can cleary take less time to develop than the first one.

Uncharted: Lost Legacy which is a complete game (spin-off) took 1y 6m to release after U4.

What about games like Final Fantasy 7 remake, death stranding,  and Shenmue 3 the's games are still years out. Also the Last Guardian was first shown at E3 2009 I think and came out 2016. You guys took my first comment out of proportion all I said was I didn't like how Sony announce gamez too early.

Last guardian is a good, but only example. Final Fantasy VII is Square Enix game, Shenmue 3 was not announced, they announced a Kickstarter, and it's also not a Sony game. Death Stranding is Sony game so good there, but in any case FFVII and Shenmue 3 were announced at the same time as Sea of thieves and a year after Crackdown, Scalebound, Phantom Dust, Cuphead, etc. While Death Stranding was announced just last year and according to Shawn Layden is in playable form and he has played some of it. Shenmue 3 director also said that the game will be out next year (much like Sea of thieves), the only game here that's a legitimate concern in FFVII because it's SE.

Your criticism is based on nothing but speculation, the facts show that Sony games come out in a very acceptable timeframe after being announced, atleast compared to MS barring The Lasy guardian (which you gotta admit is a blunder from last gen, and is in no way indictive of how Sony's managing their projects these days). MS on the other hand has had 4 cancelled games and just as many that have taken 3+ years to release and all of that has happened THIS GENERATION, it's the CURRENT management of MS that has an issue, yet here you are bitching about the one time Sony fucked up last gen with TLG. Think about it.

According to Sony's Shawn Layden, Spider-Man is swinging its way to the PS4 sometime in the first-half of 2018.

“To be honest, we’re already halfway through 2017…And that’s the nature of game development. No, I feel the lineup we have coming into the holidays this year – and GT will launch in the fall – I don’t know if you got to go to the pre-show [hands on event for media]? Well GT was heavily represented there on the floor. We think there is a lot of attention around that title from our company. And the stuff coming in 2018, all of that is coming in the first half of the year.”

We are the ones at fault? Sure sure, you done all you could to try and spin your way without success.

FF VII and Shenmue 3 is totally out of Sony control, it isn't their IP and Death Stranding was revealed with they being very direct saying it was the concept since they just started the game, so they were very clear it was a reveal that would be ways before releasing.

Those aren't Sony games but Sony is the one that decided to show the games. Imo it would have been better for them to wait closer to the launch and show the games.

I get that those aren't Sony made games but they must have an idea how far the games are in development.

I would like it better if they waited to show these games but that's just me. If other people like games being announced early more power to ya.
