Gotcha, was think on atractive women =p but I have seem fuzzy people from time to time. And i never asked about your avatar (it really give me one hell of a uncanny valley).

10TF consoles would still seem a little low considering we had the midgen. I would rather wait a little longer.

Not a chance unless they take a loss, and even then...500 maybe. i cant see how they will release anything double pro power for under 600 even in 2020/21

I mean, we'll hopefully be going from 16nm midgen hardware with old cpus to 7nm hardware with modern cpus. That alone should get us above 10TF at $400-500 fairly easily.

I liked the full pic.

I'm talking about the blue eyed girl on the avatar, it gives me creep.

Oh yeah, that's pretty old. :P

Yep, I remember it from way back on the forum. It was quite high grade at the time, but the no smile and some details make me really nervous.

The look on CGI's face when anyone starts talking about Graphics.

****************************

This console generation we have seen some big focuses on geometry, materials, lighting and particle effects, and they are all real-time, non pre calculated/baked.
We started to dabble in things like subsurface scattering at the end of last generation with titles like Halo 4, but this generation we have really refined that.

Next gen should be about the smaller details in my opinion. I can't wait.

That sounds promising.

Yeah, one of the things that makes games like Horizon or Uncharted still feel quite behind is often the lack of a natural facial expression in its characters (in addition to, a lack of actual human characteristsics, such as peach fuzz). This will be one of the bigger jumps you'll see in next generation games. I've worked tirelessly with other Developers and Desingers on ths in the last five years (even dialing back on some of my other projects). Muscle definition, accurate vascularity, and finer details are the big thing for next gen. And never mind what we're able to do with environments:

We still have a ways to go - you probably won't see a 100% accurate recreation of a human being until the PlayStation 6/Xbox 5 are rolling out, but believe me, the 9th gen will really show you how far technology has come:

I have a feeling that the increase of realism in the models will just push them further into the uncanney valley. I don't think I've seen a lot of improvement in animation in recent years and that shouldn't be as hardware restrained as anything else that has progressed..

This is truly insane:

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Same here. I can't even play Nier because of Horizon and I just keep going back to Horizon while Nier colkects dust. The controls and game play are far superior too. Horizon specifically since it is in an open world and all other open world game has issues with controls and design. This is a new level of gaming that has never been reached in any single generation. This is why exclusives are important and in house game engines.

I'm wondering what we've got on the PC side of things, well besides Star Citizen and the level of detail that game has been aiming for, physics and all.

The one thing I really want to see more work on is lightsources and real time shadows on practically everything, there are still instances in current gen games where objects won't move and thus the shadows stay stuck as they are, light sources that don't really change certain areas etc. Bethesda also eneds to go back to the drawing board with their shadows and godrays.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

The thing to keep in mind is that Kojima's Death Stranding will be using the Horizon Engine. I can't wait to see some gameplay of that.

Yes, works well for a Mod!

It does, better behave when that look is upon us.

I'll say this, for both Uncharted and Horizon, environments have never been so lush and dense, but they pale in comparison to what's coming (thanks Blake):

In what game can I find treasure and kill dinos with this gorgeous environment? Joking, very nice shoot.
