Forums - Gaming Discussion - Whose in the trickier position: Nintendo or Xbox?

Microsoft is in the trickier position, that said really they're just playing around with daddy's house money and don't give much of a fuck. This is a fun little side-hobby for them since they have so much money, nothing more. They make a decent chunk of cash from XBox Live and the XBox One line is still gonna sell like 50 million units this gen.

Can't say much about Xbox, but as for Nintendo, they just need to make the right moves and fix up problems that plagued the Wii U

So far, the Switch is doing well, so it looks like Nintendo has been taking notes and are definitely in a better position than, say, 2 years ago

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Nintendo don't compete with Sony but Microsoft do and they suffer big time as a result. I'd say Nintendo is in a better spot.

Microsoft's weak position on 1st and 2nd parties is their great weakness. Not committing to games and shutting them down before they're ready left and right isn't helping.

Well its MS because theyre still trying to grow their platform and compete head on with Sony.

I feel the UWP thing is good if it means better support for Windows and Xbox. Two great platforms get better.

Nintendo is kinda its own thing and their greatest competitor is other mobile devices taking their audience. This is why Nintendo makes phone games.

Ninty just must give Miyamoto full control on Switch, then everything will go as it has to go.

Well, Nintendo currently has the best selling console on the market. How tricky can that position be?

You mean ps4  right

If only there was a sales tracking website to look stuff like this up. ;)

Xbox - no exclusive content makes the platforms' existence a mere convenience purchase - easier to use than a PC, same content.

Nintendo's perfectly fine, especially after this E3. At this point, I am feeling super stupid to have doubted it (switch).

A main line halo game will guarantee the xbox's future. The thing will sell like hot cakes

Wow its almost like we are saying they same thing, only different! ;)

Nintendoes what MS can't.
