Sony 1st party isn't that greatly diverse either. It's mostly shooters with few exceptions. 3rd party wise they are the most diverse out there for consoles. MS not very diverse either way 1st or 3rd party. It's mostly samey. Nintendo has the most diverse 1st party. 3rd party wise not so much. MS is the weakest of the 3 as they don't offer that much in comparison to the other 2. This E3 was another year they were just boring. Forza and a lot of the same stuff we see every year.

Meh that's opinon, just like they don't offer much in comparison to the other 2. Like for me I've played more hours of halo 5 than I did in total of all my wii u games, Nintendo got smash and mario kart going for me and that's about all. And when it comes to 3rd party MS and Sony are the same unless you like japanese developed games which I don't know many people that do just me and my friend really lol.

There is a reason the Xbox brand if flailng. PS4 stomping Xbox with a lot of really highly rated games. Switch is selling better than Wii and getting some of the highest rated games this gen. Xbox yeah..Halo a series that is long past it's peak and not nearly as popular as it used to be and yet another shooter in a ocean so red it's coagulated. The most popular new shooters are colorful,Splatoon and Overwatch.Xbox doesn't offer much you can't get anywhere else  and now with all their games on PC there is little to no insentive to buy an Xbox. It has little diversity and a reason it lags in sales.

I mean it's selling fine it's just the PS4 is selling so good it makes the xbox one look like it's not doing that great when really it's doing just fine. There is diversity on the console and a lot of people that have an xbox mainly play sports games and shooters so I mean.. And I doubt that xbox exclusives being on PC has really affected the sales of the console much at all.

What's great about this year for Xbox is the amount of games coming out in 2017

Can you ban the OP's avatar please? It's creepy and I think triggering.

The funny thing is, Microsoft is doing great with their mid-level games, which is where Sony used to kick their ass. IP like Sea of Thieves, Ori, and Super Lucky all look like quality experiences. Phillip deserves praise for that.

It was blockbusters where Xbox used to hang its hat. However, that seems to be where they're struggling now, outside Forza. Halo and Gears no longer look like behemoths. They need new high-level IP.

Personally, I think Phillip should study the philosophy of Sony a bit, especially the way they're willing to try new IP even if it means moving away from older IP that has a large following. You can't milk the same cow forever or you'll be in a bind when it dries up.

Then again, maybe they thought Quantum Break was going to be their next clean-up hitter.

Regardless, as far as Phillip taking criticism, it must be remembered that he was head of first party development at Xbox before moving to his current position. One way or the other, much of the responsibility for the games they have right now belongs to him and there have been several negatives that go along with the positives.

Vgchartz loves Xbox and Phil! They were talked more than Sony and their PR guy!

Plentiful amount of games from each genre to choose from or a balanced variety of games to choose from.

What areas did you think were lacking for Microsoft?

Edited that for my sake. lol I hate when "feel" is used in that way. People use it too much. Anyway, at the risk of being confused with a broken record.... What are the areas they are always lacking?  New IPs, japanese games and RPGs.

The important thing is that he likes it.

I recall seeing some new IP at Microsoft's E3. I counted eight in the montage below:

About twenty or so new IP in:

Do you think these are steps in the right direction for Microsoft?
