With the PS4 theres like

2.6m PS4pro's
57.8m PS4/PS4slim's.
= total of 60.4m units

Devs arnt putting much effort into patch's for the Pro version.
I think devs are going to put even less effort into the xbox one x versions.

What makes you think this? Theres about 100 games that support the Pro and 83 that will support the X at launch and it was just announced and the X doesnt take that much time to port games over. AC Origins a big open world game took a week to port and its running at High PC settings.

Microsoft are just doing a much better job with marketing the Xbox One X.

Sony or Nintendo will never start marketing the XoneX, so I guess you're right. :P

War is hell. The narrative for Xbox One is never negative among the fandom. The PS4 Pro was frowned up on because it was seen as throwing extra dirt over the corpse of its competitor when the truth is, not everyone fell for the hype and were fine with the console they had.

Xbox super fans on the other hand, are almost singularly compelled to buy based on having any kind of advantage over Sony. That's why so many of the features and anything that the upper brass talks about is so hyped up by the fandom. The cloud, DirectX 12, EA Access, backwards compatibility, 4K UHD etc. were all supposed to be turning points of the console war. It never worked out.

So, you see the Xbox fandom got over the sticker shock of the console really fast. The Xbox One X never had to be WAY more powerful than the Pro, just merely better, so MS could market it that way. Anything in their minds they'd think rival fanboys would be envious of is going to get their money. It's a bit... cultish, but that's gaming on Xbox I guess. 30% actual gaming, 70% battling their rivals.

I bought one. When the other releases, I'll buy that one too.

There's probably more Playstation fans here, so naturally they don't have as much to say about Xbox. Playstation has always been my console of choice (although PC is my favourite platform), so naturally I'm more worried about its future. Also, PS4 Pro came first, so we've already had the discussion, so less remains to discuss now.

I think that MS prepared XbOX launch way better than Sony with the Pro. They already have over 60 or maybe even 70 confirmed games which will be enhanced on the new console. Sony had around 15-20 as far as I remember

^think this is upto date or atleast close to the right number.

Total number of listed games: 329

PS4pro games with enhancements are over 300..... not sure where you got the 15-20 number from.

I was talking about games that supported PS4 Pro at launch. Not the total number of games that are enhanced for Pro right now. But it seems that I was a little bit wrong. 39 games supported PS4 Pro at launch. Not 15-20

The initial presentation was very different. Pro had Cerny meekly mumble his way through the presentation, focusing on a tech unfamiliar to the masses and impossible to see on standard monitors & TVs. Repeatedly we were assured this was just a really nice PS4, you don't need one without a 4k display. MS was certainly not shy about describing this 'monster' as the second coming of Xbox - it's super compatible with your inferior old system, but damn is it better.

Also, before the Pro reveal many folks didn't think it would happen and/or would be disastrous. We've had over a year to mull over mid-gen refreshes (and have seen it have a mild effect on this gen), so gamers in general are much more at ease with the idea of the Xbox version.

Finally, yes, the Xbox fanboys are sick of eating Loaves in their console war. This is the latest in a long line of 'game-changers.' PS fanboys knew their 4k console dominance would be short-lived, so I think they sort of shrugged it off before MS could follow.

Yes... if there is anything Microsoft does better than Sony when involving ui and controllers it's definitely marketing. They are a living, breathing, hype train.

nope it was well over 50 and more during the launch window. And about the xbox numbers, are those 70 games confirmed? going to be released in future but confirmed with the support or are those that have been already released?.. coz considering xbx is launching a year later of pro, that 70 number is pretty low coz as of now ps4pro has over 300 pro enhanced games and by the virtue of the same architecture xbox should have had nearly 300 supported games at launch! minus the PS4 exclusive..
