Forums - PC Discussion - Destiny 2 running in 4K Max settings with a constant 60fps on a single GTX1080Ti in E3 2017

Activision showcased the PC version of Destiny 2 in 4K at this year’s E3 event. And while the PC version was running with 60fps, we did not know the GPU that was powering it, as well as the graphics settings that were used. Until now.

Digital Foundry has confirmed that the PC version of Destiny 2 was running in 4K on Max settings and with 60fps on a single NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080Ti.

What’s also important here is that the framerate never dropped below 60fps during all the demanding scenarios that were featured in the game’s E3 2017 build.

As such, we are pretty sure that Destiny 2 will be well optimized on the PC.

Destiny 2 is coming to the PC on October 24th and will support 4K resolutions (3820×2160), uncapped framerates, mouse and keyboard with custom key mapping, text chat, adjustable Field of View, detailed PC settings screen and 21:9 monitors!

Also to acompany the article is DF's talk of the PC version:

There will also be a deal for Destiny 2 with Nvidia's GTX 1080 and 1080ti:

My new build will be sporting a 1080ti, so I'll probably end up taking up on the deal

Seems like the GTX 1080ti is the first decent single-card gpu setup for 4k gaming. (excluding titans anyway). I've always disliked SLI/Crossfire, not for any logical reason mind, so this is good.

Really? The $900 graphics card runs games well? I'm just shocked!

I don't really see much of a reason to go for SLi, considering that there aren't a plethora of titles out there that both fully support and make good use of two GPU's being used. Single card all the way for me until SLI is put to full use.

No hardware can make up for bad programming.

You used to be able to brute force bad games some years ago, these days that's not really happening.

I can't wait for the fires to start when the game reaches it's release state, so then the devs can be caught out on their severe lack of optimization.

Interesting. Seems fairly well optimized for PC then.

6 days old, but different footage on the first mission of D2 on PC:
