I'm not too sure about Splatoon 2, but I think Mario and Zelda might pass that.

Well when Splatoon was released, there was no large selection for AAA titles on the WiiU that released around it. I am not 100% certain that the legs will be the same. It might do 8 million, Im not saying it wont, but in the same time I could see it doing also just a bit over the first one. I am also curious how well it will review. Tyat could also influence it a bit.

The lack of AAA games on Wii U wasn't a ticket to success, just ask Starfox Zero, Paper Mario, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions.

Im not saying that SPlatoon didnt deserve it, as ti was a high quality title, but most deffinatly the added attention helped the game.

Agreed, I think they have a chance of hitting the 10M mark. Every single one of them.

I dunno, I feel like if it was that key a factor then stuff like Paper Mario that had even less competition wouldn't have performed as poorly.

I mean, Splatoon did similar numbers to the same console's 3D Mario and Smash Bros.

That is true. Well lets hope that it will perform well regardless Still, 10 million seems a bit high for me, but its Nintendo, they surprised us before, and I most deffinatly underestimated Splatoon the first time around (still remember thinking that 3 million is almost impossible for it).

Odyssey and BotW are very likely, given enough time and userbase, probably don't even need bundles either. I doubt Splatoon will hit 10M however.

Japan will definitely help reach your prediction. I forecast a 1,5M launch for Splat2n itself, judging by how preorders go.

Overall, I think you could be right in the end. All 3 franchises are getting incredibly attractive iterations that are launching at key windows throughout the year.

Odyssey certainly will, Splatoon very likely also considering just how well the first one did on the Wii U. Zelda however has a more limited fanbase, so I fear sales might start to fall when more high-quality high-profile games come out on Switch. Nonetheless it has a chance of actually doing so, which I think puts it into the best-selling Zelda game ever spot I guess.

Mario Odyssey yes. Zelda BotW, I think it's possible. Spla2n.... I have my doubts. It has a great 1st game, but 10 mil seems a bit of a stretch.

Zelda - no Zelda game has ever sold that much, even as a launch title.  Are you including multiplatform sales or just Switch sales?

No Smash Bros game had passed 10 million before Brawl. No Zelda game had passed 7 million before Ocarina of Time. Previous Zeldas are not the limit for Botw, it has the potential to outsell them all due to its drastic reinvention of the series and the resultant broadening of its appeal.

And I was including both Switch and Wii U versions, yes. For reference, Twilight Princess sold over 8.7 million between Gamecube and Wii.
